Exactly.Big difference between Basel and Real Madrid.
I know it's a ridiculous thought but perhaps, just perhaps, PSG lost because RM are a quality side who may well win it all again and not because they're shite and only play against "farmers"?

I was "touché" last season againt Barcelona or even Chelsea after winning the 1st leg. Certainly not here.Hahaha
Touché ..
You said it yourself. The best players (bar Mbappé) have left more challenging leagues to play in a one-team league for a massive amount of money. Hardly screams "determined to compete in the tough leagues" IMO.Fraud team.
What is about PSG that they attract all these players who seem to lack mental toughness, want the easy life but go missing when it matters.
Even Neymar is a precious little bitch, special treatment fc.
RM, Chelsea, City and Barca are all quality sides and there's no shame in losing to them.So it's RM only for you ? The previous years They have been knocked by Chelsea, City, Barca and now RM, failing to get anything past QF. If they're not at the level of all these teams then what are their level exactly ? Unlucky to get RM so they go on and lose home and away ?
Until they go on and start challenging for CL and defeating big teams in KO stages then yes so far their only success after all this money spent in all these years was in their crap league.
So what can we judge them by? They're an elite side until proven otherwise? So their level is the French league? Or maybe they just aren't quite at the level of RM who are the fecking reigning champions and have won something like 3 of the last 4? I thought they were quite harshly done by to be down 3-1 after the first leg then in the second they didn't stand a chance with Neymar being injured.
Not stopping CityYou have to wonder if their total lack of regular competitive games domestically causes them problems in the champions league.
Is that needed? So it's RM only for you ? The previous years They have been knocked by Chelsea, City, Barca and now RM, failing to get anything past QF. If they're not at the level of all these teams then what are their level exactly ? Unlucky to get RM so they go on and lose home and away ?

Hopefully another group of Arabs lose interest in another plastic club.they will make a deep CL run at some point unless the arabs lose interest
The French league and the EPL are not of the same level you knowNot stopping City
Don't you think it's quite generous?I was "touché" last season againt Barcelona or even Chelsea after winning the 1st leg. Certainly not here.
I knew it would have been a miracle to qualify given
- the 1st leg
- the injury of Neymar
- Cristiano Ronaldo
- an opposing team more experienced and performing at the European stage
we had 25% of chances after the 1st leg. Not an absolute shame to be kicked out by Madrid
Then I wasn't wrong in my first post them. You treat them like they're minnows who are facing giants.RM, Chelsea, City and Barca are all quality sides and there's no shame in losing to them.
A true fan is always generousDon't you think it's quite generous?
Don't get me wrong this has nothing to do with France, but we all know the level of French league so let's be honest. It's a terrible league competition wise.Is that needed?
That's not a surprise though. Nobody goes to play in France for footballing reasons. We mock City but playing in England is a massive pull for footballing reasons as well as financial. Anyone going to the French league and to PSG isn't going for any other reason than money. May as well be playing in China with the exception of getting in the CL.Fraud team.

Poch is a former Player so maybe that's a pull?Who could they possibly get as manager?
Ancelotti (again?), Conte, Pochettino, Wenger....no one's screaming out.
It is all to familiar this ... What will it be next season .?I was "touché" last season againt Barcelona or even Chelsea after winning the 1st leg. Certainly not here.

I'd ignore those jibes. Is that needed?
For the level of investment, not getting past the quarter finals is exceptionally bad.RM, Chelsea, City and Barca are all quality sides and there's no shame in losing to them.
History repeats itselfIt is all to familiar this ... What will it be next season .?
Not entirely convinced Pep will oversee their project. What joy is there coaching another club with unrestricted finances?Poch is a former Player so maybe that's a pull?
Whoever they get is just a place holder for Pep anyway.
I agree with you on that ..History repeats itself
No, I can't really say it but you know what I think about you when that's how you end your post. It doesn't make you look good at all.Don't get me wrong this has nothing to do with France, but we all know the level of French league so let's be honest. It's a terrible league competition wise.
Really ? I know truth hurts anyway. No, I can't really say but you know what I think about you when that's how you end your post. It doesn't make you look good at all.
Is it exceptional to see Real Madrid qualified for the QF?For the level of investment, not getting past the quarter finals is exceptionally bad.
It isn't really. For the level of investment, not getting past the quarter finals is exceptionally bad.
Paris is overrated, full of rude people and thieves. You wanna see the best of part of France, go to Lyon or Nice.France is an amazing place to live, to be fair. If I have to choose between Paris or Manchester, well...

They haven't got past the quarter finals since Qatar took over. It is a poor return on investment no matter who they have played. It isn't really.
If they'd been put out to Roma, Shakhtar, Porto, Basel or Sevilla perhaps. They lost to Real Madrid. Some people need a bit of perspective.
It is to do with the league.PSG is a team made of doormats, it has nothing to do with the league or Real Madrid or Barcelona or anything else. They have no backbone.
It doesn't matter who they go out to, the goal for PSG was to win the CL. Yes, losing to Madrid looks better than losing Basel but in the end it's still a major failure. It isn't really.

You have to look at the footballing decision makers above the managers. What is the plan to compete, what type of team do they think can win the CL. Just throwing talent at it is not enough, there has to be some level of discipline in how you play if you are a serious team. Look at Real tonight, big names on the bench, made accommodations for the challenge they expected, not too proud. PSG against Real and no discernible tactical ploy, too many ego's.You said it yourself. The best players (bar Mbappé) have left more challenging leagues to play in a one-team league for a massive amount of money. Hardly screams "determined to compete in the tough leagues" IMO.
Basically this. They spent a lot money on Kylian and Neymar. And definitely those investments were wise choices. But you can't expect to beat the best squad in Europe with two amazing players only.It isn't really.

What are you on about, they have been been buying and failing with top talent for years now.Basically this. They spent a lot money on Kylian and Neymar. And definitely those investments were wise choices. But you can't expect to beat the best squad in Europe with two amazing players only.
