I'd really like to know what he thinks of the McFredMaguire Sausage, sandwiched by the fluffy WanBissakaShawberto warm bread.
Think he will be visiting I-Hop after reading that.I'd really like to know what he thinks of the McFredMaguire Sausage, sandwiched by the fluffy WanBissakaShawberto warm bread.
I really don't think United will factor Pogba into any plans. I assume he will just be super sub when healthy until he leaves on his free to hopefully PSG. Perfect for him.According to some pundits, RR is a pragmatic philosopher of football. He doesn't need to have his teams pressing on high all the time. Ronaldo could just stand in between two defenders to force the goalie in a particular direction -- then they press from the middle onto that defender or DCM.
My biggest question will be Pogba. I cant see Pogba having that sort of discipline of pressing in packs/overloads that's required under RR especially in the middle of the park.
Really??? That’s a bit strong isn’t it. The guy is pretty much world renowned for his style of football. Baffled by this. This is horrible. United just went backwards. I don't know why people are excited but his style of football went extinct in somewhere between 2000-2006
There will be some teething process, I guess. However, Ralf staying for 2 more years in a consultancy role does indicate that he will provide his expertise and advice when it comes to football matters. He is very likely to have a say on who could be the best bet amoung available managers. Rangnick is probably the most knowledgeable football person who is/will be involved in training sessions, which, I believe will have a terrific effect on our squad. Frankly speaking, we have been underachieving for too long, so if there was one person who I would trust to unlock the potential that our players have, it would be the German Professor.Hes going to struggle in the interim..
So much different from Ole.
"All those 3 players, including Mo Salah, were when they came to Europe, were not natural born ball winners. None of them. They were not the kind of players where everyone went 'Wow, they are pressing machines!' All of the things that happened at Liverpool were the job of the coach and coaching staff."
Ppfftt.. Negative mentality. We hipsters let the normies worry about finding their ways out of our now worldclass press.Yep! me too! Rangnick may have pioneered the 'high press'... but shouldn't we be seeking to hire the man who can find a way around it... certainly with our current players?
Well it's long term in the sense he'll stay as a consultant and we'll get a permanent manager in the summer.Quite...not really a long term approach is it?

Keeping Mike on is a bit dodgyTweet

Such misplaced smugness! So glad Ole is out.
Yeap. Plus moving for free will only mean one last paycheque for Raiola --- leaving behind a legacy of unfulfilled potential and probably forgotten in 2-3yrs time.I really don't think United will factor Pogba into any plans. He turned down Chelsea after they ditched Lampard. Ragnicks 2000-06 outdated football got him to a CL semifinal in 2011 and won him a German league cup in 2019. Goes to show how much some knowReally??? That’s a bit strong isn’t it. The guy is pretty much world renowned for his style of football. Baffled by this.
Man Utd have scored a wonder here I think
With how much our online fanbase loves to moan, I am surprised that most of us here think Rangnick was the right choice. Expected more people to come and make excuses for those we didn"t get and for those we missed out on, while being certain we got some leftover turd again. He turned down Chelsea after they ditched Lampard. Well as someone says above, Ten Haag will thrive in the structured environment Ralph will provide, while Poch wants absolute control. Footballing philosophies or notThats what i thought which is why I'm asking: why do people think Rangnick's appointment makes it more likely we'll go for Ten Hag over say Poch, or any other manager? Seems like a complete leap in logic to me.
Or at least told that he'll be involved in making that decision. By all accounts Murtough admires RR very much and has been looking at him as a candidate for this "consultant" role (I don't think the latter will involve him sitting with his legs up and offer the odd piece of advice) for a while now.If so I don’t believe he’d agree unless he was told exactly who the club wanted to bring in full time
He was runner up in 2019 but I agree with your point on the whole. His tactics are extremely similar to the ones used by Klopp, Nagelsmann etc., not sure how people can't wrap their heads around this.He turned down Chelsea after they ditched Lampard. I don't blame you for being wary of the power afforded to Rangnick with the way our club has been ran the past few years. But I'd rather be optimistic, this is at the very least a step in the right direction, let's see if we can reach the goal. It's all title. Ceo doesnt mean arnold will be bothering about football. He'll just ended up signing dotted lines.
This is all pretty laughable. What's so ambitious about hiring a 60+ year old guy who has never worked at a top club? Who has never won a title but a single German Cup with Schalke? How come that's the extent of his career if he's such a messiah of football wisdom? Is Man United's aspiration to run like the well-oiled, unstoppable winning machines that are RasenBallsport Leipzig or TSG Hoffenheim?
The state of these posts. Ignore all the context and just pure stupidity. We've really let a lot of clowns start posting freely and openly wumming in the Manchester United forum.I realize that German managers are in high demand, but hiring Rangnick now is about the equivalent of Arsenal signing Podolski when Germany was starting to produce all this amazing young talent.
There weren't really any popular interim choices, Rangnick is the most intriguing. With how much our online fanbase loves to moan, I am surprised that most of us here think Rangnick was the right choice. Expected more people to come and make excuses for those we didn"t get and for those we missed out on, while being certain we got some leftover turd again.
Personally I wish we scrapped the whole team who was responsible for coaching and our current brand of football, but I guess Ralf has to see it himself how much each of them really brings.Tweet

Sticking with Ole for as long as we did was the problem, not hiring himThe United of old signed LvG and Mourinho.
Ole was a one-off. He came in as caretaker and nobody expected him to sign a longer contract. But the players fell in love with him and our biggest asset, Pogba, seemed re-born. It would have been a bigger risk not to sign Ole at that point.
You can't use the Solksjaer example as the template for the way United operate, any more than you can use Dan James or Cristiano Ronaldo as the template for the way United buy players. It would be like saying Chelsea operate the same way because of what happened with Lampard.
McKenna and Carrick are young, no reason why they can't learn from Ralf. Phelan should go though.Personally I wish we scrapped the whole team who was responsible for coaching and our current brand of football, but I guess Ralf has to see it himself how much each of them really brings.
My guess is Michael and Mike will be shown the door in second hour of his regime.

Idk what he is thinking. Our tactic is from the 80s. Speedy wingers, hoof the ball from the back and no off the ball movement.Backwards
We play a bad version of 90s football in 2021. Is it even possible for us to go backwards?
I don't expect full on praise for the board for sureI think people are entitled to be impatient with the board. They have a track record of making some fecking dire decisions that are often based on revenue and not football. It's a pleasant change to see them make a football decision for once but don't expect fans to be dancing in the street and singing their names just yet.
