Next game is 5 days before the end of November. Hardly a disaster.
You're too brave to trust our medical team's estimation for return of injured players. And rushing players back before they have a proper recovery has been another issue for us.

Our chance creation has been really messed up all season. Apparently Bruno has created just two chances for Hojlund so far. He’s created seven for Rashford. Bet you can’t guess the other United player he has also created seven chances for?
McTominay maybe?

A front 3 of Garnacho Antony and Martial for the Galatasaray game. Bet they are shitting themselves

Probably the best outcome we could’ve hoped for with it being a hamstring injury - could’ve been much worse. Martial has a decent record against Everton so we will have to trust him then have Hojlund back for Galatasaray

As the Man united statement say "Rasmus suffered a muscle strain. It is hoped he will return before the end of November"

Everton (A) November 26th and Galatasaray (A) 29th so it's possible he could play in at least the latter game if not both? will probably be the Liverpool game before Eriksen returns

That’s what I would have guessed but the right answer is apparently Casemiro! Kind of makes sense with him being one of our top scorers but shows that something is a bit rotten in terms of our attacking football.
Thought that would be Garnacho. Casemiro's are likely most on set-pieces.

He had a part in the first goal but didn't look fit and did pretty much nothing else.

He didn't really look fit to be honest. Probably should've gone off the bench. Although then Martial starts.

Nice move at our first goal and also nice pass to Shaw later. Besides that, bellow average. His positioning when cross is coming in penalty box is very very questionable.
He just doesn't have "a nose" for goal.

We lost all presence in their box when he went off. Constantly pulled defenders out of position.

So when are we going to call out this signing for what it is ?
Great potential but we need an established striker scoring 20/30 goal and this lad coming on and covering for injuries etc. Big ask signing him and expecting him to be prime RVN in his first season.

Everyone knows he shouldn’t be the one relied upon as the starting nine. Yet here we are. His fee was for the potential, not for the quality we were getting this season.

If you want a comparison, Sesko is not even starting for Leipzig yet. He’s not been injured and played 300 minutes in the Bundesliga. Hojlund started late and has already played 650 premier league minutes.

Then why did we sign him ?

Like you said we needed a striker that can score 20/30 but we signed a kid who can't score a goal in the league and had a total of 6 goals in professional club football.

Rather ETH is here or not past this season, Rasmus was obviously a signing for the future, and has scored goals at 20 of age in a dysfunctional side and highly turbulent season. What is there to call out on his end? We should have an elite striker already at the club at this point that allows him to develop.

Sesko was their potential signing (€24.0m). They bought Openda (€38.5m) to be a starter, which has worked out well so far. They've also got Werner and Poulsen.

We chose to buy Hojlund (€75.0m) and decided to forego the starter with only really a half-fit Martial as our other choice.

It's almost as though they are a better run club.

That's exactly my point mate. His fee is for potential, since when did Manchester United the biggest club in England sign a centre forward to start for us as our main man while being unproven and having scored 6 goals in his whole career in a top 5 league. Now let's talk about Leipzig. As you said Leipzig signed a similar player with potential in Sesko, for a third of the price and to be third choice centre forward (behind Werner and Openda) but we Manchester fricking United signed a similarly experienced player to lead our line.

We did a similar thing with Amad/Pellestri with Ole, we were desperate for a starting right winger and we signed 2 kids instead.

Surely if we've been desperate for a striker for so many years you buy the one that can immediately contribute to your team and then the one that has potential afterwards.

It's just absolutely dreadful squad planning and shows nothing has changed since ETH came in. It's a howler. I remember a time not too long ago that we had 4 strikers that were all better than Hojlund is right now.

I like Hojlund btw and would have no problem with his signing if he was in addition to a starting striker but when the whole world and the whole league knew you needed a goalscoring striker and you splash it all on a guy that's scored 6 professional club goals then you deserve all of the criticism you should rightly get.

@Shark answer applies to your post as well.

As it is said many times already. Nothing on his end. He WILL become decent/good/excellent striker. But one day and i am not sure that that day is even next season.
But on our end, it was a mistake. Because, as you said; for this kind of transfer you need to have proven striker already in the club. We are missing badly striker's goals this season.

Sesko would have played a lot more here, probably more than Hojlund, due to lack of competition.

I think he would have buried one of the chances on the left at the end but he was also looking tired and a little off the pace. He’s been great in the CL for us and I don’t see the point in getting on his case after tonight. He was alright. He’ll be even better next year
