Make the time limit 6 hours now. People now need to PM their picks to someone if they think they will miss their turn

There's two for me that I'm surprised nobody's yielded to temptation on. I'm Assistant manager this time but if I was managing myself, I would've picked one of them just for the sheer romance of it (i'm always a sucker for that). I had them both marked for first round pick but nm's more pragmatic.

Crappy didn't PM me, the cnut.

I'll choose Imran Khan. Will be my team captain, one of the world's greatest all rounders plus his legendary performances came in the 92 world cup.

Don't think so - he wasn't nearly at his best after 1990 iirc, and that is what matters right?

I could be wrong though.

That's the one. I was pushing nm to pick him but apparently since performances after 1990 count, he passed on him.

One of my idols when I was a kid. Had a Sportstar poster of him bowling barechested in the nets for ages on my wall.

Plus I'm too young to remember Khan anyway, so his aura really doesn't have an effect on me.

Before I make my pick, I want consensus - only performances after 1990 count right?

I'm a big fan of Lara. Just a class batsman. Really good pick as far as I am concerned.

This is a bit tricky. I don't know when DesertEagle will make his pick, but Aldo might do it while I'm asleep. I'm undecided on who I want to be picking and it'll be dependent on the other 2 picks.. next time I can make my pick is 11am IST tomorrow from work

I can't believe I get a shot to have this guy. feck the averages

Brian Lara
Aye.. I debated with myself long and hard over him and Jayasuriya. I the end latter's bowling record just about swing it since I don't want to be under pressure to pick an all rounder later.

 Oh well, I think akram is good in odi as well.
Yes, I would have taken Akram if he was available when I picked as well.

I'm still a little unsure about the Dhoni pick tbh.

Would have taken gilchrist over him, obviously you didn't have any choice.

I won't have picked Dhoni yet... he is a good player to have in a ODI team though no doubt

Aye. My reasoning was that there are very few players that can 1. Anchor 2. Finish an innings 3. Captain (WC and T20 winner) and 4. Keep. His average and strike rate are amongst the best in the world too.
