He is quite a lot like a young Anderson. It worries me.
Because he's black and got dreadlocks?

Anderson was a great player until he broke his leg, that can mess anybody up. Unfortunately his love of partying also took his tole, but there's nothing to say he will end up like him. He's basically Anderson who can shoot and pass - how can that ever be seen as bad?

Well, they are two different people though.
Perceptive.

I hope he isn't a Mendes client.

Not everything is about race you know.

Have you seen his videos? Plays the same position and likes to drive through midfield.

The thing is those were positives about Ando, him being fat and lazy were his own problems, no reason this lad should have the same issues just because he plays in a similar style.

True but please tell me that his agent isn't Jorge Mendes.
I dont know who his agent is, but i think if it was Mendes, we would know already. So my guess is it isnt him.

Edit: I think it is Mendes though, at least an article from a Portugese newspaper that i translated on google suggests so.

This is all bs and we should be happy. He is young but I am not sure he is all that talented. do not want.

I am a bit worried about how his physical attributes are what seem to be sole focus of his exposure. That's always excellent, but you'd always prefer the technique to be in there first. I cede to the fact he is an all-action type of midfielder, but comparisons to the likes of say Neves and Tielemans seem so much more refined and technically ahead in their development. Maybe I'm just being a bit too haughty, I don't know. It's not like we have the kind of midfielder with his drive and tenacity in there either.

You're just a huge wum, I don't think I've ever seen you agree on a player.

That doesn't change his point about you wumming in these kind of threads though.
His point was that I do not agree on any transfer, he literally said that. I have shown him I did. Many times.

Would be devastated if we did a transfer deadline deal on this one though. He is not very good.

You kinda say that about almost every potential new signing though.

The guy is 18 and made his first senior start in november. He has 8 first team league appearances and 2 CL appearances, yet someone is willing to definitely say he's not very good. Even if he'd seen all 10 games he's played (which he hasn't), it would be a ridiculous statement.

On the flip side, paying 30m for him now would be pretty ridiculous as well and I'm sure that while we're probably following him and Guedes closely, this talk of advanced talks is yet another case of LOL portuguese football media.

Reminds me a lot of Anderson (and no, not just in terms of looks).

This is like that time in Dragon Ball Z where Majin Buu came back as Uub.

A none obese, non-party fuelled Ando was still some force to be reckoned with.

Just checked the Martial thread and you don't commit either way.

Checked the Herrera thread and you were calling him a panic buy and saying that you were glad we missed out when we first tried to sign him.
Checked the Martial thread because I am brought up as apolite young man who wouldn't ignore a total stranger's in depth detective work and let it go to waste.
I defeended Martial by posting a sarcastic comment or two when people were writing him off. I am sorry I didn't commit by posting "OMFG WE SIGNKD MARTIAAL BAYBAYYY!SUGOIIII, DAISUKIIII". (I did do that with di Maria, but you'd know that and left it out).

In 2013 I said Herrera was a panic buy, 2014 I was happy (you know that post that is all the way up top when you use the search function? the one with the most recent date? The one you chose to ignore? Heh heh...) as I have seen he had another good season ans the fact that we were still in for him a year later proved to me that I was wrong as we clearly scouted him well.

One of those that can't recognise potential and only rates what's been plastered all over the Internet, TV and magazines.
That's rich coming from one of the biggest clowns on the forum who believes run in straight lines and run real hard Lazio bench warmer Felipe Anderson is as skilful as Nani. we'll see how that lad's career pans out to see who recognises what... Heh heh heh.

Flabbergasted how people are infuriated because I don't want renato sanches.

Who's infuriated? I doubt our scouts have seen enough of him to determine whether he's worth 30m, so how could you?

I am just on point like that Dong... I am rarely wrong with my predictions on here and have been proven right time and time again.. Of course there are mistakes made by me, but I am only human. Trust me.

If he can run around a field of grass for 90mins without getting injured, then he is already more useful than three quarters of our squad.

You forgot devastated.
Devastation comes if we do a deal for him today. Not yet reached that stage.

Edit: this is deadline day right?

You were non committal on Martial. Usually we have to listen to you explaining how you're 'delighted' or 'devastated' by a link to a player, like some sort of teenage emo.

I saw that you flip-flopped on your opinion of Herrera but, to be honest, it was laughable either way so I just went as far as your most embarrassing comments. You decided in 2013 that he wasn't good enough because either you knew feck all about him or you can't recognise obvious talent as quickly as the rest of us.

The Nani vs Anderson debate is pointless. Like I said,I wouldn't describe either as being overly skillful, but if you think Anderson, on form, is just a straight line runner, then you're full of shit. I watched every game Nani ever played for us and was a big fan, but he wasn't somebody that relied on tricks and skill (depending on how you're defining it) in his game. He beat people mostly using reactions and acceleration from a stationary position. He did some keep-it-ups once against Arsenal, but anybody can do that. Besides, you're talking about someone 3-4 years older than Anderson that now plies his trade for Sporting Clube de Portugal.

I didn't check the Di Maria thread, so not sure if that was yet more bullshit. At the time I was too busy saying that we should go for Douglas Costa instead of getting excited about somebody that was obviously going to fail here.

What an outburst, clearly my foresight and success ratio has bothered you for a very long time. So much so thAt you feel the need to manipulate my words and fill in some dots to your liking here and there. If you think Nani's imagination and skill went as far as a few keep it ups and Anderson is not a one dimensional player than you've basically done my work discrediting yourself...

Had a quicklook at your stuff since you clearly feel you are a visionary on par with me going by that snide di maria > douglas costa comment. Firmino was, and I quote, "my muppet signing", and you were exhilarated at the thought of that Otamendi lad. Let me get up from my sofa and perform a Standing ovation with my kids.

The lad has a buyout clause of 80m euros. And it is just 30m euros, with 10m bonuses reported. Bullshit probably, but just to clarify

 Classic. Genuinely made me laugh, well worth the effort.

Though I'm now actually worried that Hectic, or someone similar, is behind the "poster" that I'm responding to. Got to be a piss take.

If not then I will say that the jury is still out on both the players that you have mentioned but, as with Herrera, you clearly like to make knee-jerk, definitive observations based on very little. Happily rule out a player, only to be 'delighted' or 'exhilerated' by them shortly after. The only difference is that I will always readily accept when I am wrong and not try to make up excuses. Or push some fabled 'success ratio' which only exists in the minds of you and your adolescent fan club.

Explain to me what makes Nani skillful in a way that Felipe Anderson is not? Stylistically they are very similar. Fair enough, Nani once won trophies with us and could well have the more successful career in the end. But that isn't what you keep trying to debate with me.

Apparently Arsenal are also looking at Sanches, they had a scout at yesterdays game according to Portuguese media.
Was it Sanches they were scouting? what with all the midfielders they already have?
