Anyone playing this on VR?
That would certainly be handy. But nope.Anyone playing this on VR?
Cannot wait to do so, the demo was intense and immersive. If anyone sees any deals post them please... Think it's 42 quid in TescoAnyone playing this on VR?
Yeah. I was sat in work in all day itching to get back to it, was glad when it started raining so I could make an excuse to play it instead of going running. No doubt I'll play for 5 minutes, shit myself and then want to turn it off. I spent way too much time last night checking behind myself before entering doors. On console? Bastards won't release it on PC until 5AM because they are pandering to the bloody yanks!
That was quick! How long did it take? I'm not forking out 60 euro for it if it only lasts a few hoursJust completed it, good game in it's own right but not to my taste personally. Here's waiting on the RE2 remake for me.
Yeah I got my copy early! That was quick! How long did it take? I'm not forking out 60 euro for it if it only lasts a few hours
Bought it for my mrs, but tempted to wait to play it myself and get PSVR when it's restocked over here now comparison videos are out and the VR version does seem to take advantage of the pro.
I'll prpbably get OR eventually, but my mrs has the pro already and wants VR plus I believe the PS4 version has VR exclusivity for a year or so. Also I'm still waiting to see with PC VR which one will win out in the longer run.Why the PSVR and not the OR? (I'm well out of touch...).
Yeah, I've read in a couple of places that the VR version doesn't look as good as the standard one. Shame that. Suppose it'll take time before its(VR) potential is fully realised.I'll prpbably get OR eventually, but my mrs has the pro already and wants VR plus I believe the PS4 version has VR exclusivity for a year or so. On that subject, I'm not overly impressed with the graphics. I wonder if they were slightly held back so the VR version isn't as noticeably worse on the PS4? Also the fov is shocking, it seems some developers will never learn!
Funny as it was, I thought that bit was incredibly amateurish with the physics, animations and all that.Seriously. feck this game.
I just met Daddy and we bonded with a very eventful car drive
Are you kidding me!? I'm playing it in the dark and I am cacking myself.Funny as it was, I thought that bit was incredibly amateurish with the physics, animations and all that.
Still couldn't stop laughing though
(btw this game really isn't very scary so far, though my mrs isn't far past that point so I'm still hoping)
That's because you only take on kids! Are you kidding me!? I'm playing it in the dark and I am cacking myself.
Do it!That's because you only take on kids!
But nah, I was expecting more from the reviews and so far it's all been there done that. Not that it's bad, it's just a bit meh so far. It's making me seriously consider slapping a pre-order on psvr just to experience it properly and try to get more into it though
I dunno, I'm kind of put off by the way they are downgrading quality so the difference isn't quite so noticeable. You know that kind of thing bugs me Plus, I don't trust Sony's long term interest in it. Ugh, decisions.Do it!
I think it's something that Sony aren't going to pull out of. I know for example that Cryengine are investing (way too much) into VR. Personally, i'll probably wait for 2nd generation before going for it, but I can understand why some people would want to buy it now. At the same time, I kind of just want to put on a headset and play something easy to start you know? I'm not sure I'm a fan of the PC set-ups on offer, especially if older games aren't modded to make it worth it.
Sometimes I honestly just wish I was like Randall and loved shiny and simple things
Pull out of? No. However, support fully? We know how the likes of Cell and EE went, let alone Move.I think it's something that Sony aren't going to pull out of. These are anti-motion-sickness features. You can turn them off in some games.Went round to a friends house to help set up his VR and had a little dabble with this game while there. Absolute shit myself at one point The VR did make me feel seas sick though, which I hope you adapt to because I can't wait to get VR when it comes for the xbox, but anyway, one thing I noticed, and he asked if I could find out for him is, with the VR, when you move with your right analogue stick, it's not smooth and move of a rigid turn, is that normal with VR?
I was thinking this the other day. I tried the demo and found it well creepy but now I want to play it in VR.... more thought passed and I came to the conclusion that my plan is not going to be fun, it's just going to be terrifying, but I am purposely putting myself in a position I will not like Evolution.I started yesterday evening, finding it a thoroughly unpleasant experience to be honest
I'm in the second house, man on fire tried to run me over in a car, I've just watched the second video of running away from some old moose, and am now looking for some pieces of a cerbresus head to open a door.
Does this game open up a bit? I'm finding it hard to deal with in this house
I'm seriously considering putting it on ebay hahaI was thinking this the other day. I honestly don't consider myself squeamish, but encountering Mia via VR is not nice at all!You bunch of absolute tarts. Seriously, modern gamers ffs.
(I say this having yet to play it on VR, I may well change my tune tomorrow )
Well it's nearly fully PC compatible now...I dunno, I'm kind of put off by the way they are downgrading quality so the difference isn't quite so noticeable. You know that kind of thing bugs me Plus, I don't trust Sony's long term interest in it. Ugh, decisions.

Did you shit yourself or not?Yeah I gotta be honest, it's pretty spectacular in VR.
Now if you play it like me, you'll spend at least 2 hours before you even get to the end of the first bit, but I wanted to check out every nook and cranny to see just how far they went with the texturing and design. You also notice so much more you'll never see playing it on a t.v. Also play it standing up so you can fully spin around (feck that 30degree stuff) and you'll beable to lean over walls and behind stuff, like the first screen where you load the game, looking around that room is fantastic alone. The only thing I don't like is the crouching and cut scenes throw you off a bit.
Consider me impressed. I'd highly recommend it, the only downer is whether or not Sony will be supporting vr fully.
Not really, it's undoubtedly very unsettling in places though.Did you shit yourself or not?
Good luck for later in the game. That's nothing.I've been told by the mrs to add that I squealed like a little girl when I first encountered the cockroaches in the kitchen, and I stubbed my toe on a table pretty badly giving Mia a victory kick on the stomach after the first encounter
Oh and she may now have a blackmail video of me jogging on the spot whenever I run in the game, complete with nearly falling over the first time I went down the attic stairs doing that.
This sucks actually.
