We'll take any kind of goals that come our way thanks, but whoever said a goalkeeping mistake doesn't make Richardson a good player, has it just about right. In the short time he was on, there were some dire passes.
Richardson hasn't played much despite the injuries to Giggs and Park that left us with a lack of width on the pitch. The reason for this is that Richardson was horrible at keeping possession and awful at crossing the ball. As an attacking central midfielder his weaknesses are masked, but he failed in the CM role against the better teams as well. He hasn't shown improvement for too long now.
Truth is Raoul, Richardson is the most frustrating talent in world football ATM. The skill is there and the desire is there but put him in a red shirt and suddenly he can't pass, he can't cross he can only shoot. Put him in an England or West Brom shirt and he looks like the next big thing. And it's a myth that he hasn't been given chances at United for he has. Yet the only postion he consitently plays well in is left back yet he has no chance in hell of making it his own.
