This is my first time to hear anything about this story. My thoughts at this moment are with Rio and the Ferdinand family. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose a wife, the woman you love.

Theres a thing going around on Twitter trying to get fans to do a minutes applause in the 5th minute of todays game. Would be a nice little touch. Hope the club get hold of it and have something put on the scoreboards.

thoughts to Rio and the childrenIf diagnosed early it can be managed quite well. Unfortunately, for young women, the disease is usually very aggressive, they may not be doing regular mammograms yet and if they are the results are not as accurate as for older women due to tissue density.

My mum has beaten that terrible disease, key is to diagnose it as early as possible and even then its not certain it will be beaten.
Unfortunately sometimes its diagnosed too late..
