"We have mutually agreed to end Roberto’s contract at a time that suits both parties allowing us the earliest opportunity to plan for next season, and Roberto plenty of time to consider his next move and his future."
"Mutual consent" is usually a euphemism but in this case it sounds like it actually applies

He'll be off to Barca. The players there will suit him at least he'll do well.

He'd be a disaster here.

He'd be double disaster at Barca. He gets super annoyed/nervous during games at Brighton, it would get insufferable with the pressure there.

This is definitely a sacking. They've been shit this season.
Yet, they've bad worse injuries than us, beaten us in the league and had a chance to go above us until last gameweek.

But some from our fanbase wants to keep EtH. Crazy stuff.

Never really understood the clamour around him. Potter is a better manager than him.

There are already several threads to slag ten Hag off in. No need to make this one too.

Huh. I mean he's been hinting at leaving for a couple months now, but without another team ready?

Also, I guess he's Milan bound now.

Would gladly take him under the new structure to be honest.
We dont even know what the new structure is. The best way to find out is to keep the same manager and compare the two. INEOS might Glazers 2.0 for all we know, at that point hiring someone new isn’t going to make a difference.

I mean it’s very obvious he’s got a move lined up. Who are these idiots thinking this is a case of a straight forward “sacking”
even if they haven’t hit the heights of last season they’re still Brighton. 10th place is a very good finish for them. No way they’d be letting him go if it wasn’t for him touting his services elsewhere.

Its funny football. The rimming of this guy was unbelievable whilst at the same time there was a pile on on how shit moyes is but they are two comparible sides and west ham will finish above them. Narratives abound

Nahhh. He's got a top job lined up so Brighton are letting walk for free. Apparently.

Bit disingenuous, no? Relative to their respective resources, Brighton have done better, even if they regressed a bit this season.

That's like saying we've been more impressive than Ipswich because we're finishing 14 places ahead of them.

Postecoglou has had this in a single season. People also piled on how shit Potter was despite Chelsea being shit for nearly 2 years at this point.

I'm gonna hazard a guess that De Zerbi will get a chance at a big club while Moyes will likely end up at a meddling PL side.

Reckon it will be Barce if they're quick Xavi looks to be leaving and they are probably looking for a loophole of not paying Brighton the full release clause.

My opinion on De Zerbi is that he's a top manager, this Brighton side after they sold most of their best players and plus the added injuries this season and their still punching above their weight in 10th. Like generally their squad is fecking shite yet they play decent football a top 10 finish is a good season.
