No need for that close up of Smith, one of the most passionate All Blacks ever, and that's saying something.

If South Africa win the semi, then the final by a single point….

called a shithouse south africa win before the tournament. big moments went their way and you don’t win the whole thing without deserving it.

Portugal 2016 of Rugby(except not really as they have serious pedigree unlike them).... how can you get outplayed in each stage of the knockouts, lose to Ireland in the groups and still win the whole thing

Well done, SA. Looked weary tonight (after the last weekends?) but kept ahead the whole game. Brave effort from NZ with 14 men.

I find it so weird that in a sport where the main goal for 80 minutes is to score tries, it’s so easy to win games without scoring any tries at all.

Just as well England weren’t playing, we’d never hear the end about how poor the quality was.

Unbelievable that NZ played most of the game with 14 men, missed a couple of kicks, had a try ruled out, knocked the ball on about 20 times and still only lost by a point.

Masters at defending and parking the bus. Mourinho would be proud. Well done on the victory.

Kudos to NZ for keep going and playing great with a man down.

Once again, Steve Earle making a key French tackle, in France. Top.

Are you saying we won the real quiz?

They're an awesome side, they didn't play their best after the physical and emotional test they went through against France but to beat that French side in Paris was going to take an almighty effort (I thought France would win the World Cup because I didn't think any team could do that) and to then back it up with 2 such gutsy wins is an incredible effort. The improvement in New Zealand over the last year too was phenomenal, it's cruel that they had to lose given how much they gave especially in the 2nd half.

New Zealand going from being in the "top 4" on the sheer basis of being New Zealand to what they actually delivered in the knockouts was a tremendous turnaround to be fair. Amazing effort with 14, but that perfect touch of QF/SF just wasn't quite there.

South Africa didn't score after 34 mins.

Shite final capping an absolutely woeful tournament.
