Stopped looking at the MEN website for United transfer news about a month or so ago. Most of it is nothing but glorified clickbait.

This thread made me crawl down a twitter rabbit hole of butt-hurt United fans piling on journos who dare to tweet anything negative about one of our transfer sagas. The absolute state of them.
Woody needs to throw us a bone soon, a horde of unsatisfied muppets can turn toxic and vigilant real fast.
Luckhurst getting roasted isn't because of one transfer story. He's constantly sneered at supporters and took himself far too importantly and today's rubbish was the tipping point.

It's the mentality of people that feel the need to trawl back through hundreds of previous tweets to look for a way to get him back for damping down the hysteria about a hypothetical transfer that blows my mind. Get a life.
It's not just him either. I've seen a few journos getting dog's abuse for similar reasons (i.e. negativity re transfers)

Not really but you are assuming that everyone went through his past tweets. The anger of the majority is based on his xenophobic remarks or do you think every one went through his past tweets? Its like complaining about somebody trying to solve a 20/30 year old case and bring the criminal to justice (extreme analogy but you get the point).

I see the point Pogue is making, but it sort of has been bubbling up. I mean, you only have to go back in his replies from the past few weeks to see how often he resorts to phrases like 'never seen a game live in your life' or 'fanboys' (which he used just today) when debating/battling with fans on twitter, often with some sort of xenophobic undertone. In all, I don't think he's some sort of malicious villain who needs all this debate, he's just a very juvenile man bumping heads with juvenile fans on twitter -- whose MO is crawling through twitter posts from the past.
I personally find his journalistic standard pretty shoddy -- today's article was really bizarre, and earlier on in the season he was sniping the club for showing up late to one of the games when it really wasn't their fault. Then again, it could just be confirmation bias, I don't think I actively read the MEN and only ever check it when it's posted on the Caf, normally the circumstances of which aren't ordinary articles.

Who cares when he made his xenophobic comments or if someone mentioned it. Fact is he has done it and not just once. I'm guessing that from your posts you don't care and that your alright with it but at the very least have the decency to say that, rather than dance around the obvious .

I really don't agree with this petition of trying getting a guy fired from his job, poor form. If those tweets are legit then sure they're not good, but let's face it a lot of this is about an article over a player who we may or may not sign. What if we don't sign him? How? Stuck in a classroom for a course of mind training? How would we know the kind of result you believe this education should result in had been achieved? Attach probes to his head and watch the incremental correction occurring in real time on a brain scanning device? At what point would you be happy that he now thought in the way you believe he should think? Give me some idea of the criteria and the method of measurement.
Not necessarily, all you have to do is search the persons username @_ _ _ _ and then a key word. You can pull up everything they tweeted using that word rather than going back through years of tweets.
He seems to have a major problem with our fans from Asia for some reason, I mean we have fans from all over the world that goes to games as well so I don't understand his problem. I'm surprised he hasn't even come out with a statement or apologize for his past statements on fans even if he meant no malice, just shows what kind of man he is really. I stopped following him ages ago, always think his opinion is the shit, also after his disrespect and snide comments towards certain United players.

Seriously? This a bloke that has grafted to work for a newspaper and some no mark is openly discussing his livelihood on an internet forum.
