I've seen players refusing to come on, but I haven't seen players refusing to come off. So good work Kepa for showing us that even this can happen. Such a young player, already making history. It's also interesting to see the hole in the rules, as I'd expect the referee to have the authority to do something about this.
This is what Chelsea get for the way the club's been set up. I don't expect them to transfer Kepa, he's too expensive and too young for that, they won't give up on him just because of this. He should be benched for a long time though, and handed a hefty fine, regardless of whether Sarri stays or not. I'd say it's time for the club to make a statement by punishing Kepa severely, but I don't think it will happen. It's a club run by players, it's the chosen path there and I don't see it changing, even more so now with the transfer ban.
It's a shame Sarri went there. I imagine he had some options on the market after his spell with Napoli, and of all the clubs in the world he chooses the one where it's least likely that the players will support him. I just hope he gets a big payday when they sack him. No matter if he is managing them poorly or not, he doesn't deserve this.
