Very sad news. 58 is far too feckin young. RIP.
This news has stunned me. Partly because it was so unexpected at his age, but also I think this is the first death of someone I've grown up being a big fan of. Very sad news

That's really sad & unexpected, I wasn't a huge fan of 8 out of 10 cats, but he was head & shoulders the funniest on there. I really liked his humour and he seemed like a charismatic guy to be around.
The self control not to tell that fecking cnut Corden to STFU is incredible too.

As a glasses wearer myself he’s spot onYears ago I used to regularly listen to the comedy shows on Radio 4 while driving. One of my favourites was 15 Minutes of Misery, about a miserable bloke who lived in a tower block.

Horrible news, loved watching the guy, went to see him in stand up at the Edinburgh Festival & he was brilliant. If I'm struggling to find something to watch lying in bed, finding a rerun of Cats does Countdown is my go to programme.
Genuinely gutted. One of my favourite ever comedians and I didn't even know he was sick.

really hurts this one, I think it’s because it’s a figure that has actually brought joy to me and many others lives too
He’s had me and my family cry tears flooding the hell out of our house through laughter, creating moments of pure joy, and no doubt in many other households too, probably the greatest gift you can give to someone
He was a comedian so his job was to be funny, but he was probably the most naturally funny person in the comedy world and in general, he had a great mind too and way of seeing things
