To be fair there was also some luck involved — Tuppet (13th) lost by 1 vote, Oaencha (15th) got out on a technicality, anto (11th) also lost by 1 vote to our beloved snake oil salesman. But yeah, the advantage is bigger than usual.

We'll take Brehme. I'm not bowled over by it because he's not got a sustained peak to call upon. And we had hoped for a right-back and hadn't planned to replace De Agostini, but we need some width and he's still the second best left-back in the pool.

Just realised following order of teams went through - 1,2,3,4,6,8,9,10. Just 2 teams from lower half and no team from last 6 at all.

Not really. Look at #1 picks after idmanager and you get the likes of Rui Costa, Nedved, Desailly, Nesta, Cafu, Thuram, Zanetti, Totti, Vieri, Kohler.

The top half have gone for attacking names and bottom half have gone for defence and midfield...but both have access to GOAT of similar level imo!

To be fair none of them would have won you that game with Pessotto at Cb. Van Basten/Ronaldo did win games and pulled the most votes.

Not to say I would not have picked or gained from them the same way if I was in top 3

I agree. I got lucky. Not everyone did.
I wouldn’t say you were lucky (as you still had to make the correct pick) but agree that getting Davids when you did was pretty fortunate.

Haha suddenly he is the second best left back in pool when you were running him down in your draft game.

My order of preference:

1. Wednesday
2. Friday
3. Thursday

If the first two are not suitable for you, we can have it Thursday.
Could do tomorrow but as an afternoon kick off so whatever out of the two you prefer mate.

@antohan still no love for your Bennarivo.

A better choice than Brehme for sure, as far as the draft theme is concerned.
