There's no way Juventus would let Llorente, Tevez and Vidal go in one transfer window. Their fans would revolt.

In a separate thought, I'd be gutted if we brought Welbeck back from Arsenal. That's one we haven't been linked with yet.
Most Juve fans would be quite alright with Llortente leaving.

Do you know how many strikers they've got? Zaza, dybala, morata, madzukic, llorente.
They could afford to let llorente go

Greizmann would be perfect. Proper LVG signing, not linked with him, scores goals of all kinds, very versatile, cost less than muller. It's him, I guarantee

Don't do this to me you put me in full on muppet mode . I would love griezmann he's the right age and the correct profile of player we should be after. I'd actually much prefer him to Di Maria if I'm honest so I'm praying your theory is correct.

Edit: sorted blasted phone

Your lucky you edited before I could see it haha I guess it was something you didn't mean to put, I know what you mean I type on iPad and it comes out with some real stupid words I didn't want, sorry for putting you in Muppet mode though if it helps I'm fully on it with you.

Llorente kind of makes sense when you consider he'd offer something different to our current forwards and he would be happy with a squad role. Also he's better than Falcao.

We'll be aiming high Muller, Benzema, Ronaldo, maybe Kane but if they don't come off there'll be a "value" alternative that doesn't cost a fortune and willing to spend time on the bench but can play a bit, works hard, holds up the ball and score goals; Llorente and Austin are the two that come to mind, maybe even Gomez...
Forget Gomez...

There might be some unsolvable problems with Schweinsteiger...

But he is no van Gaal player

Did LvG specifically say that he intends to 'sign' another striker, or there would just be another 'surprise' name that could be lined up as a striker for next season? Might just be another player from current squad that would be deployed as striker, for example like how Januzaj was deployed more centrally in the last friendly?

Then again, it is interesting how LvG is being blatantly obvious in his strategy to make all the journalists scatter around to probably randomly named their "targets" soon after that. An obvious smokescreen? Or just him being cheeky?

We don't need somewhat of a backup striker, as I have interpreted some people talk about here. We have Hernandez, which IMO is not good enough to be a regulal here but it still seems a bit pointless to replace him with something just a little bit better.

If we've going to splash out on a striker, lets splash out for a top, top man. No chances, no Falcao's or players that were better in their previous clubs than they are in their current etc. Too risky.

No Djemba-Djemba or Bellion-purchases please. Especially now that we don't have a manager who can motivate decent players to play like world stars.

Woody would be an absolute genius if he could pull that one off.
I am not sure if Juventus can sell the player while the buyback clause is still valid (I think that the 2 first years). I think that would be a very good option and since Juventus has bought Dybala and Mandzukic maybe they would be willing to sell

Morata would be excellent. Young too. But lets please be realistic!

I can't help be be unrealistic. I'd love Ashley Young to be the surprise striker.

Do like you did with Negredo when you sold him to Sevilla. Exercise the buyback and immediately sell him to us :D

I would suggest a thread title change to 'player' rather than Striker.

I still think it is a striker though. We need to throw the media off.

I think maybe he has realized that our media took striker to mean center forward as opposed to how he sees all 3 in the front 3 as strikers.
