Not surprised Fed lost that set. Gotta take advantage of all those chances he had. Also looks a tad tired...

Federer really shouldn't have let that set go into a tie-break. 8 break points and was constantly putting pressure on his serve, while serving comfortably. Makes things interesting though.

RBA surely going to be gassed in the QF, guy has now won three 5 setters.

The signs were there the way his serve dipped a bit in that last service game. Needs to take more risks though, Tsitsipas is hitting really well.

Do you think Roger should use more slices? Slow things down a bit? Might it interrupt Tsitsipas’ rhythm?

Put pressure into his back hand and go to the net. Tbh though you just have to wait and seize the chance when his level drops a bit, the youngster will make mistakes.

And stop with that forehand volley, don't think he's been successful once all evening.

Could be wrong but I think Federer’s game is on the turn. He’s maybe going to regret those missed chances.

And he's no longer is going through service games within a minute or two.

Time to sleep.

Tsitsipas needs to put his foot on Federer’s throat here

Federer’s forehand has come asunder. This is Tsitsipas’ chance

Tsitsipas was hanging on for most of the 2nd set but he merited winning the 3rd, he started getting into Federer's service games more regularly and Federer's forehand started to fall apart.

Fed's going to be down to at least 6th in the rankings after this, with Rotterdam and an Indian Wells final to defend over the next couple of months. Hopefully he can cling on in the top 10 til he retires but it's going to be a tough ask with his recent form.

This could end up like Zverev vs Nadal at the AO 2017.

2 sets to 1 up, loses the 4th set and is physically done in the 5th.

Hopefully Tsitsipas is okay.

Nadal was always going to be the physically stronger one though, you look at Fed and he's hardly springy.

Not looking good for young Roger. Can’t seem to break this kid.

This might be one of his longest matches? He won't be used to this intensity whereas Federer has done this all before. We'll see though.

I thought the physio was for Roger :D I guess no injuries for him but he definitely looks tired.

Of course he’s ok.

Shouldn’t be allowed to have a break for a bloody rub down. He wasn’t injured.

He’d be fine if he plays the clay season as he has no points from those events.

See you Roger at Wimbledon hopefully. Have a feeling it’s Roger’s last Australian Open.

Welp.

Well done to Tsitsipas, now go take care of Nadal and Djoker, no pressure.
Nadal and Djokovic would beat him easily.

Federer made too many errors which Nadal definitely wouldn’t.

Federer only has himself to blame. He fecked up the second set entirely.

Really enjoyed that match. Incredibly tight that could have easily gone Federer's way on another night.

That second set was massive as Federer was the much better player, but Tstisipas rode his luck/held his nerve tremendously well. Great opportunity now to make his first slam semi-final.

You didn't detect the joke...

His last chance was 2 break points at 3-3 in the 3rd set, from then on it was all down hill.

His forehand, especially the volley, is shocking tonight. You can't expect to win a match making more than 40 errors off that alone.

Well done Tsitsipas, fully deserved win, completely outplayed Fed on the big points.
