Started this on Wednesday last week and already caught up to everything. It's so good, wish they'd released everything at once.

Only negatives would be Hughie (cliched dweeb / nerd skinny white American character) and Karl Urban's accent. Couldn't figure out if was English or Australian as it's all over the place. Great character though.
Oi kant. You might wanna put anovva shrimp on the barbie. Come on, WEST 'AAAAMMM!!!

I have no idea either but it's not a negative for me, I love how over the top it is. Whatever it is.

That's not Australian, he's from New Zealand. He's obviously trying to do some kind of cockney accent, but his New Zealand accent slips in quite a lot. It doesn't really bother me, it's just a thing.

The way this show is progressing leads me to think that it has peaked because it is being dragged out for more seasons.

Homelander and the occasional action scene are carrying this show at the moment, in my view.
Butcher was great in the first season but now whenever he is on screen i just see an Australian guy speaking with a very dodgy British accent.

MM, Frenchie, Hughie, the girl and starlight bore me so much.

I just hope the next episodes have some sort of shock factor in them.

Actually I think they are building it up for even more. First season was an intro of sorts, and it felt fresh. But the crew didn't really believe in the mission and had many doubts, only now are they starting to gel and starlight and butcher are finally warming to each other.

Crikey, being an English guy living in America I get asked at least once a week where i'm from, I either sound Australian/New Zealand/South African/Scottish/Irish I mean take your pick but Karl Urban does no way in hell sound English

Infact the biggest insult you can do to a kiwi is call them Australian and that is the clue, He's from New Zealand.

Sidenote, MM does look like a startup character from a Grand Theft Auto game or is it me?

First 5 minutes into episode 6.I get the blood lust but seems pointless at certain times and just gratuitous for the sake of it.

Done with 4 episodes now. Just wanted to say episode 3

The Deep is the best character on the show.

This show is really, really fecking good. This episode felt like a game changer in the shows dynamic, like Hardhome from GoT. The ending was absolutely brilliant. One of the best shows going at the minute.

Who was responsible for what happened at the end of S2 Ep7?

We don't know yet. They probably want you to think it's Cindy, the girl who escaped from the asylum last episode, but she's a red herring in my opinion.

Surely Cindy would have still been inside when the CIA person was offed in the earlier episode.

Yeah I don't think it's Cindy UNLESS they had taken her out on missions beforehand, which is a possibility. I was wondering when they would address the CIA person's exploding head... I mean we all assumed it was Vought but doing it on national TV seems a bit rogue! Although perhaps they will sell it as a Supe-Terrorist which kinda makes sense.

I suspect someone from the Church, they exploded A-train's rival too so that he could go back to the 7
Yeah definitely, also now Starlight is a traitor they can say her allegations against the Deep weren’t true so he’ll be free to rejoin too. The church’s leader said he was meeting with Gus Fring (I can’t remember his actual name) so there’s some kind of plan in place.

I guess it's too obvious if it's Stormfront who's managed to get hold of Cindy and using her to explode heads.

Proper belly laughed at that bit.

I think the Deep started as my least favourite character right at the start, but towards the end of S1 and all of this season he's been great.
I'm just starting on the comics and he's one of the characters that seems completely different on the show. In the comics he looks like the dude on the cover of Bioshock, and I dont know if he changes later but he's nothing like the goofy animal lover on the show. He also didn't take advantage of Starlight in the beginning, it was Homelander, A Train and Dark Noir.

I'm still expecting him to either die or suffer horribly at her hands though.

Last episode was really shite. Good ending and all that but it was far too slow, for an hour episode I was bored for 3/4s of it.

I love what they did with Black Noir. Built up for two seasons as this silent mysterious menace, then Maeve just headlocks him and shoves some nuts in his mouth to kill him.

Amazing ending. I just wanted it to carry on. Got to wait another week ffs

Is black noir dead? It seemed ambiguous to me.

Did lamplighter kill himself in that way because he knew it would set off the fire alarm which allowed starlight to escape or did he just commit suicide?

Im hoping we see more of Maeve. She's one of my favourites.

Homelander is possibly the greatest comic book character ever in my opinion.
Anthony Starr is simply out of this world.
When he says to Stormfront at the rally, whilst smiling "and if I can get my hands on Hugh Campbell....maybe pull his little spine out the back of his fecking neck" had me in stitches

The porn bits and Deep touching his face during the head explosions were proper hilarious.

Didn't care much for the bits with Billy's family or.. well.. anything involving Hughie, but overall it was really good and the ending was a proper. .. head banger.

Interesting that Maeve overpowered Black Noir so easily. Always assumed she was one of the weaker supes but seems not.

Clever of them to cast an Australian as Butcher's dad. It doesn't matter at all, and it explains his accent. As soon as I saw he was meeting his dad I thought "I hope he's from New Zealand". Close enough, I guess.
