He'll have lost so much of his standing in the now with that loss and probably better for him to try and lay low for a few months than try and brush this off. Paul ran his mouth and saw it through, whilst Woodley didn't come close to backing his own words. That's going to hang around for a good while yet, especially if Paul decides to use Woodley as a way of keeping his own name relevant.

Utterly humiliating for MMA that he's 2-0 and can now mock a new target and goad them into a fight! He'll pick the target wisely, though; he can't go much further than calling out wrestlers who strike.
Woodley couldn't get fired up for Covington, who was a huge rival and did all the race mocking stuff.

And now, he swore on Mama Woodley that he would destroy Jake, yet from what I read, it was the same old Woodley, looking for a perfect opportunity for a power shot that never came.

Not sure why he thinks it'll be any different in the next fight.

Jake Paul will pick Dillon Dannis next. A guy who again has no striking game but is a massive mouthpiece, has the McGregor clan with him so that will give the fight more marketability and it will be another easy pay day / notch on the defeated MMA fighters belt that Jake loves so much.

I thought both Paul and Woodley had pretty impressive performances given the context.

Paul looked like a legit boxer even if not a good one. He actually connected to the head and the body more often.

Woodley was making his boxing debut so making the final bell is interesting.

I wasnt expecting a world class fight so the way it went was not a surprise. It was dull but it could have been worse.

As for whats next, Paul should really fight Anderson Silva but he wont. It will be the rematch or Dillon Danis sadly.

I think he’s quitting boxing, put a post out last night saying ‘retired boxer’ and as for looking good he’s been training for a few years but only fights guy that are making their boxing debut, It’s a joke really. If he ever fights a real boxer (who isn’t getting paid to lose) then he’s in real trouble.

I think we've probably seen the apex with Woodley. If Paul goes in with any kind of actual striker, he's going to get hurt, badly, if the striker wants to damage him.

We saw the limitations of Paul and what his level is once the 4th round was over. Once fatigue kicked in, however many years of training he's done went out the window and he was sloppy to very, very low age range of boxing - the kind of sloppy you wince at for the potential repercussions against a proper striker for how badly exposed he was.

I reckon they'll (Paul's) tone it down now and steer clear of genuine danger - talk of Anderson Silva, for example, will quickly die down.

Was a fun ride for them, but there's not much juice left in the tank unless they take on riskier and riskier fights.

They’ve worked a masterclass in fairness to them. Generated big amounts of money and attention while not actually fighting a boxer and against opponents where they felt strongly he wasn’t in much danger. Woodley was perfect because he had some name value and was a former champion and seen as legit to casuals, in reality it was a very winnable fight for Paul.

He’s suckered a lot of people in now and can quite easily take a break from it all knowing people are getting to a point where they want to see him against a real boxer. Fair play to him on one hand because he’s clearly put the work in and isn’t absolutely terrible in fairness, but it’s not hard to see why he won’t fight somebody like Tommy Fury even for example. People are desperate to see him lose, that’s great drawing power for him. Either he takes another easy fight or he will genuinely take a break either for good or until the time is right. I’m genuinely surprised there’s not more talk of him fighting McGregor.

Conor is still injured, give it some time. I'm sure that fight is coming soon. Easy money for both.

Agree with all of this, even down to the Mc Gregor bit. That's a 'retirement' fight for them both for the money it'd generate, which is ridiculous, really.

He is a troll so you just never know. And money talks. But if he is done then fair play to him for getting richier than most MMA fighters could in a lifetime. The kid looks dumb but he is smart.

Maybe i should watch this, weigh in looks promising

Was posted on Reddit, one poster explained what it was (i thought it was some WWE stuff)
" ok so backstory is that the girl with the short hair did porn related content on youtube calling herself sexmasterka which is just a girl form of sexmaster in polish, she called it sex ed but it was basically soft porn for 13yo kids, the whole suit and dildo was to parody her"

She went straight for the cnut punt. A technique you don’t often see in modern MMA.

What are some of the challenges facing the development of MMA in Africa ? Is it possible to create a lasting fighting culture in there ?

So what’s the big hype about Paddy Pimblett? Is he any good?
I just can't wait to hear buffer: Paddy, the baddie, Piiiiimblettt!

I only seen a bit of him but he seems ok, not a world better. Seems to have a good personality.

I’ve been gorging on Chael’s channel. His ability to sell himself is fascinating. He just waffles on and on. Reminds me of the film The Prestige how he dupes an audience. Anyway, he was waffling on about Pimblett and the massive pressure he is under and whether he can handle it.

Thought that was a bit odd, which is why I enquired about him in here. Apparently he’s a potential cash cow? So he’ll get favourable treatment if he’s any good.

There is pressure for sure. A lot of talk online was about people wanting him to join UFC many years ago and now it's finally happened. He definitely too good to be anywhere but a top organisation but I'm really interested to see how he fares at UFC.

He's very unpredictable, good on the ground but poor (by UFC standards) on the feet. Not sure how high his ceiling is tbh... he'll certainly entertain but right now I wouldn't predict him getting near a title at either 155 or 145. He's full of energy and loves trying risky stuff, 2 finishes by flying triangle I think. He's a character and entertains so I think he'll be given good treatment even with a few L's on his record.

Dana White is that typical jock stereotype and it's amazing how he's one of the most influential people with regards to an entire sport. Such an idiot
I hate Dana White pays his fighters like 70k a fight and expects them to go he’ll for leather, such a cnut when he’s making millions.,

What time does the main card start?

Edit; UK time please?
Had to google myself:

In a refreshing change for UK viewers, the prelims will begin at 6.30pm BST before the main card gets under way at 9pm.

Probably going to be in some entertaining fights in the future, ol’ Paddy. I’d say he’ll also get knocked out a fair few times during his UFC career, too.

Not sure he's gonna back up those big words, seems like he could get pieced up by someone with top level striking but I'm sure he'll have some entertaining fights.
