I decided to go with Motta over Fletcher since I have athletic CB's who can go wide and wanted a DM very comfortable playing deep, but I looked hard at Fletcher as someone who could play next to Kroos in a 2.

Can't believe he lasted until the 12th round, especially with his nationality.

I don't think that Marcelo or Lichsteiner are a liability in defense per se. I think they're both a bit too gung ho going forward that they will get caught out of position against certain set ups. That's inevitable unless you want to sacrifice them up front which in Marcelo's case would be negligent.

Lichsteiner is solid defensively, he just plays "gung ho" because Juve often have 3 at the back or 4 CM's out there. I definitely don't think of him as unable to follow instructions and play as a regular RB. He seems to for the Swiss.

On the spectrum of 1=Totally-Sane-and-Sensible to 10=Stobzilla's-usual-draft-tactics, that's a 4. I'm buying it. Only comment is I'm not a big fan of that line on Vidal, looks like he's vacating the critical central midfield area.

Nah, it's his general mentality. He's the guy who doesn't think twice about fouling. Infamous for his CL performances where he could have 2-3 penalties against him (against Celtic).

We still have to judge players at their peak. His peak comes as a wingback or right midfielder in a formation with 3 CBs. For me that counts against him if he's playing in back 4.
