Granted, I get almost all my information on American politics from Libcafe, but American (republican) politicians have a unique ability to say incredibly dumb things when they want to sound wronged.
Because their entire ideology is now emotions (particularly victimisation). Look at desantis today, people buying electric stoves will pay sales tax, but not on gas stoves because "the left is upset with gas stoves". He announced actual economic policy based solely on getting an emotional response.
It's based on what Fox News talking heads say it is, they don't have enough brain cells to do emotion
And only 8% of stoves in FL are gas, probably mostly in restaurants and wealthy houses, but the red neck MAGA's will cheer this as owning the libs.
This one caught my attention yesterday, especially when she used her South Korean descent to justify her stance against socialism.
1) First, it is so stupid to mix up socialism and authoritarianism for starters.
2) If it wasn't for a dose of socialism, not sure that South Korea would enjoy the following as the pillars of labor and social welfare. Notice that the US still don't have anything similar among some of those.

- A national health insurance system that has 98.6% of South Koreans enjoying it
- Employment insurance
- Paid parental leave
- A national long-term care insurance system for the elderly
