Silly bastard. I'm intrigued as feck about this though. Did he somehow manage to get the gun from America into the UK through airport security at both ends when he was travelling over here? Alternatively, how and why would he buy a gun illegally in his brief stint in Manchester? And why on earth would he attempt to bring it back to America with him illegally, when he could probably have bought the same gun legally as soon as he landed in America?

You think it’s a set up Pat?

Who knows mate? My brief digging suggests that the illegal handguns floating around the UK are more likely to be European brands than Smith and Wessons. Plus you'd need to have someone who was willing to part with (I hope) a fairly hard to come by commodity just to frame Bomac, and they'd need to have had access to his hand luggage at very short notice. It all seems unlikely, but then so do the other explanations.

The most plausible to me is that he took it into the UK with him, either not knowing or not caring that it was illegal. He apparently arrived here via private jet, so maybe the security in American airports is far laxer for private jets than commercial?

Apparently he brought it over on a private plane which has lax security

Fury really is a fecking moron isn't he.

Assuming Ngannou has already secured a hefty guaranteed purse I really hope people boycott this sham.

I'd love if Fury turned up and fecked around and got KO'd too, albeit the chances of that happening are almost zero.

He can get fecked, Usyk is the #1 HW on the planet and Fury is an overrated bum until further notice.

Joyce is terrible, so slow and ponderous. Also has zero head movement. Zhang will KO him soon.

Nasty knockout there
Should never have taken the rematch, it’s this bad habit British boxers / promotors have of thinking immediate rematches keeps them on track career wise after a loss.

Terrible performance from Joyce. So laboured and cumbersome, was eating punches from the first bell and was it only a matter of time before he was out on the deck.

Unfortunately Zhang is gonna be a bit of a boogieman after this win. Can't see anyone wanting to fight him.

Joyce was incredibly poor, never really rated him and that should be his career done to be honest.

Joyce looked scared from the off, maybe this rematch was too soon as I doubt the eye was 100%. Not that I think he had much of a chance anyway

Zhang confident and clinical, great finish

Zhang barely gave a feck and still won. Joyce should retire

Not sure why the commentators want to discuss Zhang v Fury. We all know that ain't happening.

Hopefully his friends and family will tell him to. He's 38 now and no chance of beating the best. All credit to him I could never envisage that life but just retire with your faculties and your family.

Joyce seemed like he was shit scared of Zhang so he must have some power.
Yeah, he has heavy hands like Foreman did. Different type of power to say a Wilder. Think Zhang cracked Joyces jaw in the first fight and finished the job this fight. Guess that happens when your defense is using your face to block punches.

The arrogance of Joyce before the fight. Already talking about who would be next. Completely discounting Zhang, despite getting his arse handed to him last time. That knockout was very satisfying to watch.

I had no idea Joyce was 38. I would wonder why he only came on the scene recently but watching that performance last night I've no idea how he managed to get this far at all

Any fighter with the nickname juggernaut is always a risk when climbing up the levels of competition. Joyce showed he's very one dimensional, Zhang proved to be a stylistic nightmare southpaw, varies the jab and has a chin himself.

The moment I saw Joyce with the lateral movement (round 1) the fight was over, he's never been about fundamentals and moving off center to avoid the right hand did more damage than good because he couldn't punch off the angles. He's a square come forward fighter. Shouldn't have taken the re-match but Zhang is an interesting prospect would be a hard fight due to being a lefty and has punch resistance.

Outside of this it's been an outstanding year for boxing just the technical fights alone with Fulton / Inoue, Spence / Crawford, Loma / Haney, Taylor / Teofimo and upcoming Charlo / Canelo it's been the best year of fighting since the days of the fabulous 4 in my opinion.

Zhang Wilder would be tasty!

I can’t believe he got anywhere in the amateurs with the style he has.

He’d be a fool to carry on. It’s his chin that’s got him this far and now that armour has been pierced, it will be downhill.

Usyk - Fury contracts are signed. Let's see if it goes all the way and the fight actually happens...

As expected and what Frank Warren said all along. Saudi were never ready to hold the right months back and Fury and co have waited it out for the huge pay day. In fairness to Frank Warren he said this all along. Saudi money has changed the game.

Wasn't it Bob Arum saying this?

Either way yes - as you say fully expected and I'm surprised so many fell for it and thought this fight was actually dead in the water.

Too big a fight not to happen... way too much money involved.

Joshua v Wilder is off in the least surprising news ever.

There was never a chance they were really going to put Joshua in the ring with Wilder.

At this point they just need to ban heavyweight boxing as it's a total farce
