I'm finally playing Chrono Trigger for the first time ever. For some reason I just never got around to it. I still rate FFVI as the greatest JRPG of all time and I know many people put Chrono Trigger next to or even ahead of it, so I'm curious to find out how well it's held up.

Would've been nice if this was available through Switch Online but I doubt that's ever going to happen at this point, so I settled on the Steam version. I can't compare to the original but it seems fine so far.

I found myself on Steam last night looking for something cheap and new to play and found this little gem.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2058200/Showrunner/

You are a TV show studio head. You create shows, characters, scripts and all that jazz. You hire and train staff, build chemistry between actors, upgrade your studio and meet/fail production deadlines. It's basically the TV show version of Game Dev Tycoon and it's got a lot of potential. It's still in Early Access but has more than enough content to enjoy.

I'm currently on to Season 4 of my pub/drug empire Comedy/Drama show about a former soldier turned pub owner/drug importer and his straight edge sister, who is dating the lead's best friend - a drug dealing teacher. It's the shittest show ever but people watch it so I'm raking in the cash.

Finally got round to playing A Plague Tale: Requiem and finished it yesterday night. I can't help but feel pretty disappointed by it all. Spoilers I guess.

The last few chapters were just pure misery porn. Having played the first game, I certainly didn't go into this expecting a happy story, but at some point it's just misery heaped on top of misery and my emotional response basically switches off. I know some people say The Last of Us 2 is too miserable, but it's rainbows and puppies compared to this suffer-fest.

I also feel like there's this notion that anything other than a tragic ending is a Disney ending. Therefore, the more miserable and sad an ending is, the better it is written. Or something. It doesn't work when I'm sat there almost lauging at it, thinking "of course they were going to have us do this". I had fond memories of the first game. Not only am I not going to have fond memories of this one, it retroactively soured those fond memories of the first game as well. I'm certainly not up for a third game set in a more modern setting, or whatever they were hinting at.

I used to be able to game 2-3 hours after coming back from work. But I cant do that anymore without waking up feeling tired as feck. Been feeling that way since I turned 30.

Does it happen to anyone else as well? it feels weird because I used to be able to game till 2 am, yes I'd be sleepy by then but performance wise it's still good. Nowadays I can only play competitive games during the day. No chance I can do it at night, unless if I had slept beforehand. Even playing single player games at night are bound to mistakes. I guess that's why most footballers are dead to us once they turned 30...

I hate it.

No idea what sort of effect it will have on the quality, but Eurogamer have been on a steady downward trajectory for years anyway. Shame about the redundancies.

Used to be so good but I haven't bothered visiting that site in years after it went to crap. I don't even know where to turn to for reasonable gaming news anymore honestly.

Has anyone ever played Morrowind multiplayer before?

Me and my mates started playing and found a server with an insane mad lad who was roleplaying by himself before we joined and then continued the pretence with us. Haven't laughed so much in ages.
