Actually just remembered he’s a state DA, rather than federal. He’s one of the ones investigating Trump currently and has access to his tax returns. He was also investigating Trump about a decade ago, received a $30k campaign donation from Trump and subsequently dropped all charges.

Even with SDNY being a federal court, I’m sure I remember this being raised before and they were looking at state level charges for exactly this reason. I might be wrong though.

Also, I had to do a double take on Kushner since the actor you plays him looks exactly like him. Ditto with the guy who played Clapper.
Read somewhere that this could have been the first non-comical portrayal of Trump in media, one that didn’t overly portray him as batshit. It was a portrayal rooted in an honest depiction of his faults without striving for a laugh line. Gleeson also worked for a couple of months to nail Trump’s voice. He succeeded.
