He looked past it last night alright
I agree, def he has lost a step, a big one considering his speed use to be his most valuable assetAbit harsh, I just think hes past it, thats all.
Used to be a brilliant player, now hes not fit enough to clean Ronaldo's/Messi's boots.
REAL LOVE
£10m: Amount Thierry Henry was paid to stay at Arsenal for one more season in 2006 - £5m in wages plus a previously undisclosed up-front £5m signing-on fee, revealed in club accounts last week.
2006: Thierry says he stayed 'for love'. 'I simply could not face leaving the fans. They are my family. The love I have received in this country has been amazing. I've never played in Spain and now I never will. This is my last big contract - it's where I belong, where my heart is. Full stop. And this was never about money. My decision to stay or leave was never going to be based on economic considerations. People want to give you a label as a footballer where it's all about money, money, money - they should stop talking about that. It's not. It's about emotion, respect, loyalty - and real love.'

Have you been watching his MLS games?Well, he will not be playing 90 minutes and I doubt he will appear in every game. He simply does not have the stamina or pace.
I saw him here and there on TV here over the summer when the only thing to watch on the soccer channel was the MLS. My impression was that of watching a faded star. He would do something clever, then nothing nothing nothing, then a clever bit, then stagnate. I just do not think he has it left in the tank. Don't forget, it has been 5 years since he left the PL and he is no sprng chicken (for a football player).Have you been watching his MLS games?
I've not seen him since his Barca days, I'm interested to see what he's got left.
My favorite non-United player and I used to have a poster of him in my bedroom. Welcome back!
Not sure if seriousMy favorite non-United player and I used to have a poster of him in my bedroom. Welcome back!
True, not everybody can be as fortunate as Mr Giggs.I saw him here and there on TV here over the summer when the only thing to watch on the soccer channel was the MLS. My impression was that of watching a faded star. He would do something clever, then nothing nothing nothing, then a clever bit, then stagnate. I just do not think he has it left in the tank. If he does his finger-to-the-lips, 'shushing' celebration then I shall be forced to beat him to death with a pillow case filled with unsold copies of Graham Poll's autobiography. He can't say he hasn't been warned.Great player, but I hope we won't be seeing any of his 'Yes, I'm completely carrying this club...' goal-celebrations. Now that he's past-it, I guess he'll have to be less conceited.
You're probably the last person suited to use that smiley in response to that post, really.
