He'll be gone before the end of the week.
As would I. I don't think it is a coincidence our attacking players look rubbish when Jose is managing them. After Lukaku had 25 league goals in his last season with Everton, I was expecting him to get 30-35 here with the service he was going to receive from superior quality players. What's that quote, the cleverest thing the devil ever did was convince everyone he didn't exist?
Seems like the cleverest thing Jose has done is act like we have some sort of dross squad and he's doing heroically salvaging us so high up the league.
He's had people thinking Sanchez, Lukaku, Pogba and Martial are poor players over this season alone.
Sanchez and Lukaku topped the scoring charts a couple of years ago. Pogba we know had a great world cup. Martial was a one man attack for Van Gaal at times.
These 4 are top Premier league players. But you wouldn't think it.
I'd expect a big improvement once a new guy comes in.
I'm gonna do something unusual here and agree @Wumminator, I think he has to go now.
I believe he'll be sacked on Monday or Tuesday.
If he doesn't I really think the pressure on Woodward and the board needs to jump up about 10 times where it's currently sat.

Let's give it to Giggsy!
If only the people running the club had the same mindset as you and we would be in a better position. Good post and good strategy mate.
Do people really think he's going to be sacked? Even if he is (he won't be), our problems go far higher.
The problem is, if we sack him, who do we get at this stage? If by popular belief it’s Poch, then we’ll have till wnd of the season. If we were more forward thinking, then I’m sure Marco Rose would be available today.
Very little of what Jose has done has made sense since he's got here.
He likes a big muscular target man. Lukaku is the former, but not at all the latter.
He knows exactly what sort of centre backs work, yet went for a Lindelöf type player, who most of the café could out muscle and head. Bailly again seems too wild to be his type of defender.
Mhky, a very flimsy flair player, again nothing like his sort of player.
Buys Pogba, then tries to use him like some normal player rather than build round him.
It's been bizarre, and Jose himself said we're well off where he'd expect to have a team.
Don't want to sound like a broken record but have mentioned many times but Leonardo Jardim is available. Never heard of Marco Rose what is he like please?
Just listen to the post match presser after todays game. According to our manager he inherited injury prone players that lack physicality. Compared to Liverpool we don't have that quality or intensity. His Porto team were like mad dogs winning back the ball within seconds. He played with this system with Inter, that system with Real fecking Madrid. He's taking the piss out of the club, board and players. He'll be gone by midweek.

He’s the manager at RB Salzburg. He played under Klopp and may have worked with Touchel. He’s cut from the same cloth as them. He Won the European youth league with RBS in 2016, beating the likes of City and Psg along the way. Got promoted to the first team. Won the league, maybe even a cup and reached the semifinals of the Europa League. Currently their top of their league and won every match in the Europa League.
They play with a high press, attacking football. Very flexible in his line up. No big signings. Coaches players vey well and promotes his youth players into his team.
Sound familiar to someone we once had?!

Also beat their big brother club twice right?
Haven't seen them play, just highlights in Europe.
To be honest though, it's been so long since we had a manager that played really good football (the last 2-3 years of SAF was just winning no matter what), it's been a decade long hiatus for United fans to be genuinely excited at watching us play, it's high time we get what most of us want out of watching football (entertainment).
100% agree. I believe, as a spectacle, 2010 was our last season of decent football. After that, we just grinded out wins.
This is why I believe a less a known manager will be afforded more time by all, including the media. As a club we need to be realistic and say to all, we are now laying down the foundations for the next decade etc. Red Bull have literally started from scratch with all their teams and laid down the foundations for attacking and attractive football. This is something we need to start doing, asap. First call, get someone like Mitchell in.
I agree with this. He s been tampering expectations while the reality is that we should at least be duking it out for the no. 3 spot. Why would the team belief in itself when the manager can't.What's that quote, the cleverest thing the devil ever did was convince everyone he didn't exist?

This is an unbelievably pathetic strategy from the club, to keep the manager until top 4 is mathematically impossible, but sadly it seems to be the truth. I’ve today decided to stop watching United until Mourinho leaves (or he turns it around which is 0.000001% likely). I’m settling in for a long period without watching United and it’s just sad. We're not mathematically out of the top 4 yet, he ain't going anywhere.

This is exactly the thing that should be happening! And I think most of our support would understand if we were aiming for sinethsom, but for the last 6 years we've been pissing in the wind!
Unfortunately though, this will not happen with Woodward here, he's not a football guy so doesn't understand this, he clearly thinks if everyone knows you (big name players) then you cant go wrong, and he clearly hasn't learnt his lesson.
In order to lay the foundations we need to restructure everything, shame Woodward won't sack himself.
I think Ed’s next move will make or break him. If he doesn’t get in a DoF, he will fail again. That will be his last thing he’ll do with us.
However, I still have this small hope that even Ed can’t be so thick. He will get the proper people in to help him.

It's not great, but it's unlikely we'll get a top manager until the summer.
I don't think Jose sanctioned half the transfers made on his watch. Bigger issues at the club that Jose. Business men making footballing decisions can only lead to problems. How does the board know to veto Joses request for an additional centre half, who has told them?????

He's got to go Robbie. I'm sick of being right every week. Mourinho out blud. Mourinho out fam. HE'S GOT TO GO!
