I will still watch them, but its torture really. Nothing to play for bar the cups. Will always watch them though, even the pre season.

Fair enough. Losing to the Scousers today was horrible, but anyone being honest with themselves know they're a level above at the minute. If the okayrs have any character at all then they'll double down and work their asses off to get us back into top 4 contention. If they give up how then they shouldn't be at United full stop.
The official United Twitter account seems quiet. There usually sends to be post match stuff even after a loss. Hopefully it's just the calm before the Joseout storm.

Doesn’t matter. A stop gap solution like Giggs or someone else will bring some much needed energy and passion into the club, not to mention the benefits of starting to play attacking football again and getting the squad used to that, which will make the transition easier for when a permanent manager comes in, unless Giggs gets hired and remains in the job

It is weird that ourselves and Liverpool have never been good at the same time apart from the 'Fachts' season. It is honestly like a curse. Barca and Real have battled it out so many times whereas our rivalry with Liverpool has been 'it's your time to win trophies until it's our time to surpass you'. Anyway beyond my rambling this is a RAWK prose disguised 'next year is our year' post. At this rate we'll have W.Bollox Yeats writing poems here.

I think it’s going to get worse still before it gets better. Big names leaving who we’ll be unable to replace. It’s going to be a slow process and there’s no guarantee we’re going to get it right at any point. It’s a sad state of affairs but we don’t have a divine right to be at the top, we could be looking at 5, 10, 20 years of wilderness or more. All we have now is financial clout and a reputation that dwindles by the day. And our money doesn’t even give us that big of an advantage anymore.

We are a long way from recovery. This game may be a tipping point (hopefully) but nowhere close to start of recovery.
The club and supporters all need to accept that this is going to take time. There is probably only 1 manager in the world (Pep) that has the clout to come in and bin all the players that need binning. Anyone we appoint is going to need years to develop a squad that gets back on par with the big boys. And an unfathomably large amount of smart spending.
Whoever it is is going to have to win the fans over by making it clear he’s got a plan and will bring an identity back to the club. But we are at best fighting for top 4 over the next few seasons. And there’s a chance it could get worse still especially since we don’t have a solid defense to build on. And that’s still not taking into consideration some of our best players leaving potentially.

I’m not Mancunian and I can admit that I didn’t grow up in the culture and there are some elements I don’t understand, but sports is sports at the end of the day. The thing that surprises me most at the moment is how different United supporters are from Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Juve. A manager in his 3rd season at any of those clubs, producing this level of garbage would be forcibly dragged from the hotel room he still occupies or would neee a police escort to get out of town. Not saying that is noble, but there’s nothing noble about this man either.
I’m genuinely asking what pride there is in standing by to allow this as it’s not something I understand. If the manager has given up and the club is going nowhere but down, what the hell are we, as fans, waiting for before our voice is heard? It’s not even as if it’s some jovial legend that everyone loves and we’re just using a delicate touch. The guy is a grade A cnut who has disrespected nearly everyone at the club.
Can't see us getting a squad capable of challenging and a good enough manager before 5 years at least. Half this quad, maybe more needs to be sold. We need serious change to the recruitment process. I think when we see the current talent in the youth side make the first team along with our current talented first team young players hitting their primes. Excited to see Rashford, Martial, Shaw, Dalot, Bailly and Lindelof progress and looking forward to seeing the likes of Greenwood, Chong and Gomes make the first team. In terms of winning major trophies before then you'd need a massive overhaul of the squad and new manager which ould cost an arm and a leg and I think we all know the owners aren't shelling out for that.

No he wasn’t. There were many of us that could see he wasn’t the answer. I was vocally against the appointment until he was signed. Then I shit up and hoped for the best. I never believed in him but supported the club.

Recovery? Like chemotherapy for a stage 4 cancer patient. The side-effects are bad in that we lost to fecking Liverpool, and the tumor which is the board and the manager is still intact.

I'm still watching, but god damn, it's depressing as hell. Not sure how much more I can take this year with Jose at the helm. At least with a new manager, if we struggle, I can watch with hope that things will improve and enjoy the process.

First stage of recovery is admitting you have a problem. The board seem to be accepting of what’s going on, so we certainly are not on the road to recovery until Jose is gone
I wanted Klopp but we left it too late then I would have accepted Ancelotti, never my first choice but better than Jose.. Now I would like Jardin. He has shown a wish to bring through youth and play good entertaining football. I know things fell apart when he lost his best players without replacing them but I would like to see him at a club that will allow him to keep his best players and spend money to improve his squad.
I wouldn't expect an intimidate result but see that we are building towards a long term goal.
