'A purge'

That's exciting innit :D:devil:

EDIT: It's behind a paywall... can anyone give us the jist?
If you go on the Man Utd reddit and look at the post you can see the full article there. It’s really not saying much more than Ole doesn’t trust anyone bar his starting XI — likes of Mata/Lingard/James just aren’t good enough.

Supposedly Ole and Phelan said we needed 9 players when he came in and he only has 4 in so far.

Was supposed to be posted next Monday if we lost to Leicester...

Yeah was just saying we hadn't seen the standard DOF story after a bad result but then it pops up. Obviously this is put out by the club to try and keep the fanbase sweet but we are too smart for that.

Cheers mate. Seen it now.
"Woodward, who has been heavily criticised for not bringing in a football figure to control transfers, was determined not to allow a director of football to be a focus of blame for United’s failings."

Sure, I bet that's the reason Ed, a noble stance from a noble man. Made me laugh that bit.

Nah, better to brief early..

I so hope this is true.

#mufc are confident of signing 16-year-old academy striker Charlie McNeill from Manchester City. #udlatest [Mail]

Anyone knows about this lad?

All the vibes from Liverpool post-lockdown appear to indicate that they are very, very short of cash.

That is true but still expect them to find an agreement with Bayern because seems that Thiago is keen to join Liverpool

I'll say it again, there is no way we should allow them to use him in the Europa (even if we've already qualified for CL by then) unless we conclude a future sale to them prior.

Should just give them for free. Just insert some clauses like number of appearances and goals.

Yeah but he is there best player since restart, maybe we can get some fee, he is much better than 100 million Martinez.

Let them just pay the 20m and renegotiate his wages themselves. He has been better than most of their players. Sometimes I genuinely think if not because of his wages, he could be useful for us.

This is the time to force inter to pay up.

Apparently Christian Eriksen is their highest paid player at €185k per week. Which is what... half of what Alexis Sanchez is on now? I think they'd struggle to come to agreement salary wise, especially if they have to spend €20m on the transfer as well.

IMO, just let him go on a free transfer. We don't earn any money on it, but we save a lot. And even this only happens if Sanchez is willing to cut his salaries in (more than?) half, or we agree to pay parts of it. If the latter is the case, we should of course demand a fee.

One of the best CBs in the world is finally leaving Liverpool.

Jokes aside this is good for Croatian NT cause I guess he'll play regulary there. He does have comedy relief moments, our Dejo, but right now he's the best CB we have.

They wanted to furlough non playing staff which is a very small % of their wage bill! Yeah, they over mortgaged with purchases of Allyson and VVD and covid19 has hit them hard.

So you don't think they will get Thiago?

They won the CL and now the league. I'd imagine that'd give them a lot of money..

I dont think they are in trouble.. just that they dont have the reserves of some other rich club and with the near future uncertain, they probably dont want to spend any money they dont have to.

They didn't have the funds for Werner, despite planning for him pre covid19.

I think they will have to do very well off loading deadwood, to fund Thiago. Lovren for £11m is good business, so they might be able to pull it off.

Those cash injections would have been in their financial projections since long ago, certainly before covid19 started, yet still couldn't afford Werner.

Deggsy you will be missed (by the opposition). He was good from time to time but was also a consistent source of chaos in our defence. His cameo against Everton at Goodison sums him up.

Good price for him. We need another CB now. Ideally someone younger.

Almost word for word the sort of conversations we had amongst ourselves re; Fernando Torres.
