Watford have also confirmed 7 departures. Two of the notable ones are Cucho Hernandez to Getafe on loan (previously on loan to Mallorca), and Dimitri Foulquier to Granada.
If those are the notable ones, who are the obscure ones?!

After the various departures, Valencia are in talks to renew the contracts of 3 players: Gabriel Paulista, Daniel Wass, and Jose Gaya.

The article itself reveals some more interesting info:
  • Valencia are looking offload both Cillesen and Rodrigo.
  • Jose Gaya rejected offers from Champions-League clubs with bigger paychecks in order to remain loyal to Valencia.

If Barcelona do not restructure and fix their ways, Messi will leave the club after next season.

The restructuring requirements:
  1. Sacking Setien
  2. Bartomeu's resignation
  3. Locker room purge (selling players that don't fit in/work well)

The timing of the piece makes this seem redundant, but Inter are open to integrating Perisic into the first team if Bayern do not trigger the purchase option.

Other reminders:
  • Inter targeting Emerson Palmieri and Mykolenko for left back
  • Strong effort to sign Kumbulla

Other sources are reporting the same thing RE: Setien's sacking.

Translation:
Quique Setien [is] already far from Barca. Barca [are] already in search of his successor. Several members of the sports management [i.e. sporting directors] [are] in danger. Bartomeu wishes to stay until the election. The summer will be hot in Barcelona.

Don't think he has enough clout. He'll be 34.

Sounds like he's just looking for a reason not to leave. Barca at their worst still aren't that bad in perspective. QF of CL, challenging for the title. Messi has probably got a bit bored and wants a new challenge but needs a bit of a push to do it.

Hang on...so we called Roma’s bluff and rejected their offer because it didn’t meet our asking price and Woody is still getting stick now it seems they’re ready to come back and meet it!
I wouldn’t bother with that poster mate, clearly doesn’t have a clue

More info on the recent news about Setien and Barcelona's sporting directors being sacked:

Bartomeu's quotes:
It was a disaster. We already made some decisions and we will annouce them in the coming days.
Summary:
  • Xavi & Pochettino presumably targeted
  • Several sporting directors are also at risk of getting sacked.
On a side note, Sique Rodriguez of Cadena SER has just reported that Bartomeu had dinner with Mauricio Pochettino this week.

Sure we only signed 4 players but we also had Williams & Greenwood come in. Axel was supposed to count too but obviously injured. Ighalo on loan, kinda doesn’t count but he technically is another player being available. The point is the aggregate incomings/outgoings have been quite balanced but only due to our academy helping. We didn’t ‘sign’ more players because of the deadwood (Players you mentioned and a few more) we haven’t been able to move out. Some of these players were given sort of a last chance and we kinda couldn’t have moved them on along with all the other outgoings by now. Hence, I think to answer your question (in bold), it’s not like we won’t sign anyone. But there will be some sort of a rule to offset each incoming with at least 1/2 outgoings first and hence all this news of us only working on one transfer at a time. It’s not like we can’t sign any other players apart from Sancho, we’re first trying to sell others before we buy.

It’s also a risk to first solidify first team before fixing the squad. I think both efforts work in tandem whereby signings will be made if and when we make space for one, and when is the timing right.

As untrustworthy as our board may be, us having qualified for CL will go a long way this summer. Likewise, getting Sanchez off our books will as well. I’m confident we’ll have 2/3 players coming in but with some outgoings first. If anything, I’d suggest you to have more faith in the board as compared to previously :) We still have a good 2 months to go and I’m actually impressed we were able to get Sanchez done already.

Sancho movement also got initiated very promptly in my opinion. Sure it’s a mess right now but let’s say we truly are interested in signing him and do end up paying the full amount in terms acceptable to Dortmund, we will surely take our time to test their resolve completely before caving in to their demands. So in hindsight, I actually don’t think it’s a mess. Dortmund has already paid all their cards so now the ball is in our court and we can take our time. Even practically speaking, spending 120m in current situation would have to be the last straw. We need to show that there was literally no other option but to pay and for that we have to exhaust all our efforts first. The window having just opened means we can’t be seen caving into their demands so soon.

Hence I’m actually content with how our transfer ops are going atm. But me and you can touch base again in a months time and see which one of us was more accurate in our predictions:wenger:

Alternatively when the team around him was shit and he was surrounded by poor players (and had a bad manager who basically declared war on him for most of that time), he wanted out. Now that the team appears to finally be getting it's shit together and we have other good players he can play with, he's much happier.

The reality is it's probably a bit of both. He's now feeling happier here and can see a future of success at the club, AND he knows it'd basically be impossible to move this season even if he wanted to.

Yea basically. Not sure why people refuse to see a bit of reality. Any criticism of a player not up to standards and people get their knickers on a twist. Yes, Mourinho was a big mistake to appoint as a manager at the club, no matter what he won. I was totally against it because of his behavior.

Pochettino has said in the past he would never manage Barcelona due to his Espanyol links.
Can't see that happening but stranger things have happened.

Yeah, I personally think that Xavi's a big favourite. After seeing a bunch of different teams go after former players who understood the club and knew what it was all about, it wouldn't surprise me if Barcelona decided to go after Xavi.

A bad feeling...wise up ffs he is a decent player not a fecking STD
You are wrong that he is decent. Jesse Lingard isn't good enough for a top 6 side. He has been awful for at least a year. All he does is run around the pitch. We simply have to get rid of him.

I bet you have a lot of feelings.
there was nothing wrong with him saying I have a bad feeling lingard will stay. He has been absolutely appalling for over a year. If Lingard stays, I too would be extremely annoyed.

Can't see Poch or Xavi coming in for one year for a dead man walking. Xavi is waiting for after the elections and I can't see Poch coming in and playing with a new President next year and probably replacing him. This squad is such a disaster it would be a terrible situation right now to walk into as the new President will usher you out and clear house.

He went back on his word in an interview the other week, said something like 'never say never' when asked about Barca.
The guy is desperate for a job, he'll take it of offered, but it's nailed on as Xavi.
Xavi has been earmarked for this position for the past year.

Henderson will go back on loan for a season. Bit annoying Sheffield have signed someone, but you can’t blame them. Plus, Henderson is actually really good so I’m sure we’ll find someone to take him for a season again.

There’s no way we can find anywhere to throw De Gea away to. It’s a year too soon.

Uh oh, what happens to Henderson then? If he comes back to United, I’m worried things will come to a head with the De Gea situation and he might demand a permanent transfer away.
I think it’s a good thing. Ole seemingly has made his mind up what he wants in the goalkeeping department and told Sheffield Utd that he ain’t going back there! There are a few possibilities:

1) A club comes in and makes a big offer for Dean (maybe Chelsea)
2) De Gea has been told he has to fight it out with Henderson (as equals) to claim the number one spot- his huge wage is the problem with this one
3) De Gea has been told to find a new club as Henderson is coming back as number one.
4) We sell Romero and Henderson stays as back up (unlikely he’d want to)

Intrigued to find out which it will be
