Seems like Chelsea, Juventus, and PSG feel the need to hoard all the world's decent midfielders. I hate them.
Ah, thats true. Easy when you dont need to care about money I guessJust so jealous of how proactive they are always. Even when it doesn’t work out they fill the holes they have in the squad.
Neither do we. Not signing a CM isn’t because of money. This was a must do deal. Is he exactly what we need? No. Is our CM situation that dire? Yes.Ah, thats true. Easy when you dont need to care about money I guess

Strange list considering Juventus didn't have a single decent midfielder before they signed Locatelli, and midfield is arguably the area where PSG are the least stacked.Seems like Chelsea, Juventus, and PSG feel the need to hoard all the world's decent midfielders. I hate them.
Next summer we will need to sign a world class striker, and potentially replace Pogba. So by not getting a DM now we are just trying to catch up every season. Getting it done now would make far more sense. He’s not remotely a DM or the player we need. Honestly I’d rather wait for a target that actually makes sense. Camavinga wanted Madrid, Saul wasn’t right and Neves isn’t currently good enough. Let’s be honest here.
Next summer it’ll be our number one priority and we’ll have the money to spend.
So much crying on here and socials. We’ve had a bloody amazing window! Some are acting like spoiled brats
How do you work that one out? Can't wait for the next fans forum when Woody and Joel tell us how we "invested heavily" in improving the first team squad, yet after the James sale we've broke even, maybe even made profit for this summer.
A profit? How are you working that out? Can't wait for the next fans forum when Woody and Joel tell us how we "invested heavily" in improving the first team squad, yet after the James sale we've broke even, maybe even made profit for this summer.
People don’t realise we’ve been saying “we’ll be complete next season” since SAF retired. It’s a never ending process. It’s obscene.Next summer we will need to sign a world class striker, and potentially replace Pogba. So by not getting a DM now we are just trying to catch up every season. Getting it done now would make far more sense.

How do you work that one out?
Paying Sancho off over 5 years, Varane over 4 and Ronaldo over 5.A profit? How are you working that out?
How do you work that one out?
I mean there's lots of people that go into serious credit-card debt because they don't understand that it has to be paid off at some point later.A profit? How are you working that out?
Because we are paying for the incoming over a number of years in instalments. Total expenditure is something like 26 million this year. How?
It really doesn’t work like thatPaying Sancho off over 5 years, Varane over 4 and Ronaldo over 5.
£14.6m for Sancho
£11m for Varane
£4m for Ronaldo
£29.6m total
£28.2m for James
Fair enough it's not profit but net spend of -£1/2m isn't great.
The income statement is not a true indication of the cash in hand. If you want to know whether United would have had the cash available for more signings, check the cash flow statement. Can't wait for the next fans forum when Woody and Joel tell us how we "invested heavily" in improving the first team squad, yet after the James sale we've broke even, maybe even made profit for this summer.
Not yet, no, and there haven't been any serious developments on him in the past few hours. Spurs are, however, trying to sell him.Have they sold Aurier?
What about the transfers from last year, the year before and the year before that which were also meant to be paid in instalments? Which would be paid this year? Oh and you do realise that Leeds will be paying that fee in instalments too right? Its the norm in football.Paying Sancho off over 5 years, Varane over 4 and Ronaldo over 5.
£14.6m for Sancho
£11m for Varane
£4m for Ronaldo
£29.6m total
£28.2m for James

That's not really how it works though.Paying Sancho off over 5 years, Varane over 4 and Ronaldo over 5.

?????????????????????Can't wait for the next fans forum when Woody and Joel tell us how we "invested heavily" in improving the first team squad, yet after the James sale we've broke even, maybe even made profit for this summer.
Haaland is number 1 next summer.Next summer it’ll be our number one priority and we’ll have the money to spend.
?????????????????????
It's the 1st time I've seen people calculate transfers like that, good PR from United leaking these figures to the press I guess.Because we are paying for the incoming over a number of years in instalments. Total expenditure is something like 26 million this year.
And he's taking the James fee as one lump sum, neglecting to factor that that too is being paid in instalments.
It's an intellectually dishonest point to say we've broke even on the net spend this season.
That's depressing.Rice is a more 'United' signing in midfield than any of the others you've been linked with this window.
How much are we paying for other transfers this year? How much have we committed next year instalments? Would another signing impact our ability to sign players next year? Is the James fee in one sum? How much has our wage bill increased? How much will it further increase with Shaw, Bruno and Pogba contracts? Are we limited by FFP? Well done though. We’ve only signed Varane, Sancho and fecking Ronaldo. Let’s all have a good whinge eh.Paying Sancho off over 5 years, Varane over 4 and Ronaldo over 5.

Cheers. So they have this guy, Aurier, Doherty and Tanganga. 4 right backs! Not yet, no, and there haven't been any serious developments on him in the past few hours. Spurs are, however, trying to sell him.
If we were buying Saul, sure. But as a loan it was a deal absolutely worth doing. If we get no one else it was a huge miss. He’s not remotely a DM or the player we need. Honestly I’d rather wait for a target that actually makes sense. Camavinga wanted Madrid, Saul wasn’t right and Neves isn’t currently good enough. Let’s be honest here.

Curious to see how you are going to double down on this.Paying Sancho off over 5 years, Varane over 4 and Ronaldo over 5.

I have a feeling you'll just ignore all these posts.

It's done for Keita Balde in Cagliari. Monaco gets 25% on a resale and frees itself from a big salary.
