Hope, We Lose
Official: André-Frank Zambo Anguissa signs a new contract with Napoli until 2025 with a 2-year team option that can take the contract to 2027.

Been such a great move for Napoli and for him. Looked better than our options like Fred in 20/21 while Fulham went down to play in the championship the next season, he went on loan to Napoli and became a big player for them. As they sit top of the league he remains an important player and between him and Zielinski for Napoli's best CM

The full quote:
I think as soon as Qatar is over. We will have a general discussion about what he actually wants. With him, with his parents, with whom we have a very close relationship. And of course with his advisor.

And then he should just tell us whether he wants to stay or whether he wants to leave. In both cases, we will have a very pleasant and reasonable discussion with each other. But we don’t have to pretend that the issue is not on the table. If the really big clubs are involved, then we can’t afford to have a fight financially.

The Barcelona interest was first reported in Mundo Deportivo (Ferran Martínez - Tier 2):
With Bernardo Silva almost impossible to sign in the winter transfer window, Barça are keen on Gündogan, who finishes his contract in 2023.

Tier 1:
  • Up to 2 new forwards a priority
  • Lopetegui on the January transfer window:
Of course they [the owners] are worried about the situation and they want to invest money to change. They want to improve the team, for sure. There are possibilities to try and improve when the market opens. The scouting department are working very hard to have good information so all together we have to make the right decision.

  • Interested teams: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham, and Juventus (Juventus link as per La Repubblica report)
  • No teams have approached Sporting for Porro as of now.
  • Sporting don't want to lose him in January.
    • Only a fee close to the release clause amount of €45m will tempt Sporting.
