Source (Tier 2):
Another reason why they are trying to convince Busquets to stay on is the difficulty in finding a guaranteed replacement for him.

Zubimendi, Ruben Neves, Kante, Jorginho or Amrabat: Here are the names on the table
Consensus for Zubimendi, but too expensive, Ruben Neves does not convince everyone, Kanté is a question mark, while Jorginho is liked, but not easy and Amrabat would fit in, although his price will skyrocket.

He's super talented and would make Arsenal even better but christ what they offered is absolutely fair value. It seems like you must overpay 90% of the time to get any half decent player.
TBF Shakhtar are in a precarious position considering FIFA shafted them with their players being allowed to leave in the summer for lower than their market worth. I get it.

Edu failed to close the deal last summer, and it will be even harder in January. Also Zaha and Thuram will be available in summer.

Hope, We Lose
 Here we go again. I just suggested him this week as a not as good - but another player who fit the profile of what made enzo fernandez initially stand out to me in Argentina with his passing stats. So he'd be a decent buy hoping he could be a mini Enzo Fernandez. City once again jumping straight on the Argentine market

Tier 2:
Chelsea and Benfica are already negotiating forms and structures around the €127M bid for Enzo Fernandez.
  • The fixed amount, bonuses and forms of payment have to be established. It is not a simple operation but the English are bidding for the Argentine.
  • The only way for the deal to go through is if it is not for the clause as Chelsea do not want to pay the €120M on signing for Enzo Fernandez. That is why the offer is higher than that amount but they are looking to establish ways of payment.
  • Thus, the last word will be Benfica's.

Tier 1:
Aston Villa have asked for Gerard Deulofeu: he is a player very much to Unai Emery's liking.

Also on the list is Ismaïla Sarr, for whom an official offer has already been made, but has not been accepted by Watford.

Thanks to @Zoo in the Enzo Fernández thread (Tier 1):
Chelsea are a step closer to signing Enzo Fernández.
Summary:

Chelsea are able to speed up the deal thanks to their excellent relationship with Jorge Mendes.
