Not at all, but we've been here before. I like the signings, absolutely, but managing expectations will be important
This reads like you're determined not to be happy. Surely that can be said of literally any player we sign?

That will settle legend or not question once and for all. What a fecking snake if he goes to Chelsea.
Legacy ruined.
But you can't conflate issues; getting them through the door is the first step, but you're laying that low - give them a chance! Not at all, but we've been here before. I like the signings, absolutely, but managing expectations will be important

At least we are allowed to scream "SUCCESS" after kick-off in the first game of the season![]()
I think he goes to Chelsea as I think Bayern are too smart to get involved. He is not a good replacement for Lewandowski
I just can’t see us selling to a PL rival having already missed out on CL. Would be stupid from our perspective, if we’re selling him then we should tell him to go abroad. I think he’d be a poor signing for Chelsea but he guarantees goals which would help them in the race for too 4 next year. With how it’s gone for him with us this past year, to then go to Chelsea, it would pretty much be as bad as him going to City last summer for me.
We will if we can get something out of it. Like Werner etcWe won’t sell to Chelsea

Think so as well, and would assume Mendes is well aware of thatNah the club never has and never will.
He’ll go overseas if he leaves.
Don’t agree. Don’t see Bayern taking him and Chelsea’s new American owners will be seduced by the money.Nah the club never has and never will.

We won’t keep an unhappy player and leave it for ETH to deal with. He’s got enough shit to take care of. Pretty sure he won’t stand for it and will also want him gone.I think some people are forgetting he’s under contract. United still have some control over this and if we’re going to let him leave it will be under our own terms.

Do you think he really strengthens them if firstly he doesn’t really fit their style and secondly all the baggage that goes with him?You do realise we have a say where he goes? He’s under contract at the club. He’ll have to leave on our terms and the club aren’t selling to a rival. When have we ever done that?
We’ll see won’t we.Yes. But we won’t sell him to a PL rival. it simply won’t happen.

We should give him to Chelsea to piss off tuchelRonaldo doesn't seem like a very Tuchel transfer tbh. He generally does insist on all his frontline pressing. Sterling makes perfect sense, but I do wonder if Ronaldo would be his choice or the owners. If it's his, he probably thinks he can get away with 1 passenger in the team as long as the rest press in a coordinated manner. If it's the Board going rogue for commercial reasons that's unlikely to go well.
We’ll see won’t we.
The club will absolutely not force him to stay. If only Chelsea come in he goes there. It doesn’t matter. The club won’t allow it with the optics.
That was all at least a decade ago. Different club now to then and entirely different people in charge. I don’t think it’s likely but I wouldn’t rule it out. When has the club ever done this? Beckham, Stam, Ruud, Rooney
I am not saying it won’t happen. I just dont think it is a good fit for what Tuchel wants as far as counter pressing. I personally like CR7 and think he has more to give. CR7 Chelsea Kit would be a purchase I will make, if it happened.

Remember when Fergie said he’d never sell anyone to Madrid publicly. One thing the Glazers are very aware of is image.

The Glazers only care about the bottom line.If you think the club are suddenly going to do something it’s never done before and let a cash cow and club legend go to a PL rival then fair enough.
I can’t see it happening though and the club has enough power in the deal to make sure it doesn’t. It’s not a free transfer.
The only thing the Glazers care about is money.
