Club is an utter embarrassment. The writing is on the wall for the season already.

City, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Brighton all look far ahead of us. Presently we are on the level of Chelsea, Villa, and Spurs and I wouldn't say we are top of that list.
We beat Forest and we’ve 2 wins out of 3 but ok .

Can't believe we want to spend €15m on a back-up goalkeeper.
While another €10 million we would probably get Amrabat. It’s mindboggling .
If André Onana returns to the Cameroon national team (may be some legs to this), then we will be losing him to the AFCON. In that case, we'll need a reliable backup keeper, and those will be at a premium if we want a quality option.

We still have Henderson who we can't seem to sell

We may as well keep Henderson unless we make 25-30 million because anything less and buying a new back up keeper that is of less quality for 5 -10 million seems pointless

I’d be happy with Heaton if we spent our money elsewhere

Are we actually going to sell anyone, or not.

What happened to multiple clubs interested in Maguire, VDB almost on his way to Spain. Bailly on a free.

Arsenal are supposedly selling a player they sent out on loan last season for close to €50M.
Balogun had a great season at Reims so he was always going to leave for a high amount. I'd imagine a lot of Arsenal fans would prefer the club not sell him at all.

Shaw's injured for an extended period. Imagine if we already sold Fernandez with Malacia also being injured. Wtf do we do then? Hannibal's position is similarly in a crisis of depth. Considering letting either of these players go right now is incompetent. Likewise with Pellistri. The squad is incredibly weak

If he's so good, why aren't they keeping him? For all the fuss over Jesus, he's not that good and what happens if he gets injured?
Well they have Nketiah and Trossard can play there also. Jesus is a very good player, he's just not a reliable goalscorer. He definitely makes their team work better as a whole. I think most Arsenal fans would prefer they kept Balogun instead of Nketiah but Arteta mustn't like him enough to keep him. He obviously will get them a big fee also. Also, maybe Balogun isn't content being a backup after scoring 21 goals last season, which is understandable.

Balogun basically demanded he was first choice or sold. So they’re selling him.

It's not a good look for the club not to get rid of the deadwoods like VdB, Maguire, McTominay, Henderson and Bailly, we also need a new DM to compete and cover for Cas and a backup GK.

Since Hojlund, it seemed like the club decided it was all done.

Very true but how do we shift them is the question

Reports were quite clear that Onana, Mount and Hojlund were the priority signings after that any other signing will be after sale. Problem is Maguire, Scott, VDB are still here. Henderson is on his way out so the link to a goalie is getting strong. Fred has gone but Mount was his replacement, just like Onana replaced De Gea and Hojlund replaced Weghorst. They seem strict on this, hopefully VDB goes in time for us to get a midfielder.

You are falling for the spin, we must have made something like 30 to 40m in sales and yes the big ones didn't materialise but we should still be able to buy a midfielder in the 25m range. This will come back to bite us soon and completely derail our season especially if we sell Meijbri and Fernandez.

So whats the reason for not buying any more players in your opinion?

I would like to see Fernandez to step in and replace Shaw while he is injured. It would be a chance for him to show his qualities and prove he belongs to the first team. However, my inner gut tells me, ETH will replace Shaw with Dalot and will not take the risk.

Luckhurst going in on the club. This has turned into an absolute mess of a window. We are weaker now than at the end of the last season.

I don't think its about cash, it's more about balancing ffp, and not risk expanding the squad any further.

Mentioning Blind, what. No point in going for a LB. It is at it is, Dalot and Fernandez for cover. I wonder whats up with Malacia.
