I dont know if any knows Wythenshawe Civic , there is cops in riot gear all over it , about 100-150 males and females on bikes , faces covered up just milling round.
2 cars pulled up in my street and 10 adults got out and ran towards Civic and 10 mins latter got back in there car and did one.
I wont be sleeping tonight , I dont mind admitting , I am scared

Rumoured 10pm meet-up in Hounslow. Apparently it's like a ghost town at the minute though.
It's good as the feds have done nothing to stop people milling around doing whatever the feck they'd like, this is a big deterrent.

Not at all. Of course there are socio economic factors behind looting. How could there not be? People don't do all this shit if they're contented with their own situation. I've just never conceded that they're are political motivations behind this. It isn't about Mark Duggan the way LA was about Rodney King. It definitely isn't racial for a start, as a vast amount of the rioters are white. It's a class thing for sure, at it's very root. But it's not motivated by an angry, deep rooted social reaction to an incident, most of these people think they're having a whale of a time and are running around laughing (as they may have been in LA for all I know, but there isn't going to be a nearly as much sympathy or as much change because Rodney King was a tipping point for much of black America...Mark Duggen isn't...I doubt many of the rioters here can remember his name, if they ever knew it)
eltham may have been white but it wont be in five years time - all the young kids are black - its sidcup that is white with plenty claiming romany roots
