Kellys Heroes very underrated.
Isn't the movie widely acclaimed to be one of the best epic gangster movies ever? Seems fairly rated by those who've seen it. Although you can argue it should be as famous as The Godfather or Goodfellas. I found it as good as the Godfather. Godfather is more iconic and style while OUATIA is more gritty, raw and dark IMO.Once Upon A Time In America deserves more praise.
AgreedKellys Heroes very underrated.

Probably my favourite Friedkin film, entertaining in so many ways.
Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975). it's rarely even mentioned these days, but for me it's a real gem of its genre.
TV series coming this year: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6038954/?ref_=nv_sr_2It's a masterpiece.
One of the greatest soundtracks ever also.
Does it have anything to do with the fact that most of his films were produced by non US companies? I dont know but there may be some weird rules about having to have US producers to be considered.speaking of, S. Leone has only one miserable golden globe nomination in his whole career. isn't that a bit crazy? not a single oscar, not even nomination if I'm not mistaken.
Great film! One of the funniest films I've ever seen was "baseketball" from the makers of South Park.
I've rarely if ever seen anyone talk about it when it comes to comedy movies so I consider it massively underrated!
You seen Orgasmo? With the first nine months of the Baseketball postseason out of the way, the playoff picture is starting to emerge.
Sure but stillSpaghetti Westerns were met with a pretty cool critical reception at the time.
The academy probably scoffed at Italians taking over the most American of all genres, preferring rigid American ones with John Wayne beating on some indians.Sure but still

I've had this on my need to watch list for ages, but get hardly any time to watch movies now. I'll metaphorically bump it closer to the topTo Live and Die in L.A

Not very underrated, is it? You have to hate life not to rate it.Predator
I was thinking the pretentious Academy award crowd but you are definitely rightNot very underrated, is it? You have to hate life not to rate it.
I never seen the movie but the book was one of my favourites everI've said it a few times but 'Gandhi'.

Moon is excellent, one of those films that I enjoyed first time round but when I watched it again I realised it was even better than I thought on first viewing. The Machinist is probably in that category also. The Machinist
