Some people genuinely didnt see that coming. Just goes to show how little a lot of posters understand about defending
Did he really pass? Because I haven't seen him do much with the ball at all.Cost us the game because he can't head a ball. At least he can pass though, that really helped today.
That's drivel, I think most who are supportive of him have admitted that aerial duels is a weakness of his. But hey, you finally get to look right. Bet you're fecking aching for him to feck up.Some people genuinely didnt see that coming. Just goes to show how little a lot of posters understand about defending
He passed responsibility on to everyone elseDid he really pass? Because I haven't seen him do much with the ball at all.
I'm not talking about him not being strong in the air. I'm talking about him costing us at the back, the poor attempt to win the header was just the meansThat's drivel, I think most who are supportive of him have admitted that aerial duels is a weakness of his. Lindelof couldn't lace Smallings boots.Never better than Smalling, not even last season.
I mean, he didn't, but okay. It was a poor attempt, no doubt, and he's at fault for the first goal (along with Maguire, who failed to track Ayew.)Cost us the game because he can't head a ball. At least he can pass though, that really helped today.
Agreed, potential is there but he has yet to fulfill it.Never better than Smalling, not even last season.
He did nothing today with the ball that smalling couldn’t have donewhere is this class on the ball.
The egregious error was Lindelof, it was pathetic from him. Maguire thought he had it so moved over towards Shaw because he was injured. He was at fault too because it wasa bad reading of the play. He wanted Lindelof to back head it to De Gea but that looked difficult for him. Nonetheless, he should have won that header easily.I mean, he didn't, but okay. Today’s game was made for Smalling, him and Maguire at the back would been dominant in the air. Horses for courses, Palace were always going to sit back and pump the ball forward for counters. Lindelöf still hasn’t really adapted to such tactics.Soft as feck today. Didn't have much to do today but the amount of headers he lost in the first half is unheard of for a CB.
They've played two games together.....Maguire does share some blame, but he's probably not used to having a CB next to him who loses a header so easily. Maguire didnt track but if he had it would have been Maguire making up for Lindelof's error.
He didn’t lose a header. Victor was targeted by Palace, they played on his weaknesses and it worked. It’s going to happen an awful lot this season, it’s just something he’s yet to show he can deal with.Defender loses header, Lindelof loses Utd the game. Watch any prem football this weekend and CB with lose a header. This place is an absolute joke and people always looking for a scapegoat
Really, many had him our player of the season last year. Maybe less focus on one player and look at the broader and bigger picture.Today’s game was made for Smalling, him and Maguire at the back would been dominant in the air. Horses for courses, Palace were always going to sit back and pump the ball forward for counters. Lindelöf still hasn’t really adapted to such tactics.
Yeah, it was incredibly poor from Lindelöf, but that whole situation was embarrassing. The egregious error was Lindelof, it was pathetic from him. Maguire thought he had it so moved over towards Shaw because he was injured. He was at fault too because it wasa bad reading of the play. He wanted Lindelof to back head it to De Gea but that looked difficult for him. Nonetheless, he should have won that header easily.
Experts here pinned most of the blame on Maguire. I don't agree with that, but I agree with the idea that a lost header in that situation should be easy to deal with if everyone is doing their job.Defender loses header, Lindelof loses Utd the game. Rubbish. They haven't got the ability to target shit. They came for a draw and got the win.He didn’t lose a header. Victor was targeted by Palace, they played on his weaknesses and it worked. It’s going to happen an awful lot this season, it’s just something he’s yet to show he can deal with.
Oh and Dave’s this weeks scapegoat by the way.
Awful player, positioning all over the place, poor in the air, great pass and that's it, every other defending aspect in his game is catastrophc, and he is very, very slow, like a snail. Smalling and Maguire will be great partners until Tuanzebe is ready
I told you soDefensively Smalling is Maldini for Lindelof, priority for cb is to protect goal, Lindelof is awful in that department. If he has a good pass, play him as dm ffs
I knew someone would say this. He literally cost a goal and probably the game. Listen, I’ve seen the likes of Pallister lose headers but the difference with lindelof is that it happens in almost every game. You could tell that palace targeted him. It’s a major flaw for a PL cb to haveDefender loses header, Lindelof loses Utd the game. Watch any prem football this weekend and CB with lose a header. This place is an absolute joke and people always looking for a scapegoat

Maybe it's me and yes Lindelof lost the header but I rarely see DDG anticipates these situations. He's always stuck and is rubbish in one on one situations. In fairness they played two games together so shit happensYeah, it was incredibly poor from Lindelöf, but that whole situation was embarrassing.
