Harsh on Deeney, he's a physical footballer who's made the most of his ability.Depends.
Their squad should be good enough for championship and Deeney belongs in the championship.
Keane was right. Why they hire one of the coaches? They should have got a new voice in.This looks like a stupid decision. Had Pearson gone rogue? Did he threaten to beat the chairman up? I can't think what would have caused this otherwise.
Yes. They had good managers in the past but their work had been somewhat disregarded by the people who lead the club. At some point their strategy of managerial carousel had to fail.Watford need to be relegated, their constant managerial changes are a joke
I have a feeling Watford won't be back in the Premier League for a while
It’s not harsh. He barely can move now and Watford forums all want him gone. They should have played Welbeck more up front.Harsh on Deeney, he's a physical footballer who's made the most of his ability.
Like others have said though, sacking your manager in the way they did meant they won't be missed.
Apparently they missed a lot of chances today. Going down 3-0 does not help. But it wasn’t impossible for them to have got something today against Arsenal team who had one eye on cup final.Pearson wouldn't have got anything from either of the final games.
Always with a Deeney pen too, always smashed down the middle.Happy to see the back of them. Feels like we lose to them every season.
They will probably need to offload more of their big earners. They can and probably will sell Sarr, Docoure and Deulofeu but that's it.
Bloody hell thats mental. Not sure. Even if they sell likes of Sarr, Pererya, Doucoure I think they've got a decent core of Foster in goal, Dawson at the back and likes of Will Hughes in midfield. Doubt anyone's paying big money for Deeney now and Welbeck has been injured for half the season so any prem club would be mad to pay money and sign him but that's two decent strikers to get them back up, also got Andre Gray who's been prolific in that league.
It's a lot better squad even with a few departures than what Bournemouth and Norwich will probably produce.
I'd be surprised if they're not top 2 tbh. Pretty sure the year they went up they burned through about 4 managers aswell.
When you look at the managers records btw this season....
Gracia, won 0 of the first 4 games.
Quique, won 1 of his 10 games.
Hayden Mullins, won 0 of his 4 games.
In half a season they won 1 game.
Pearson won 7 out of 21 so really they would've been by Norwich without his effort this season. He certainly should've got their final two games. Re-appointing Quique Sanchez Flores relegated Watford as they had some winnable home games under him they didn't win.
Wow, giant move by Nigel....Tweet
