I think that would be awesome and lets face it, Raf and Evra give us loads of width anyway and both Rooney and RvP are not afraid to run the channels when needed.
I personally don't think that team has what it takes, it relies heavily on Kagawa and Rooney to create chances and there isn't enough pace or cutting edge in that side, two of the more attacking mids there don't assist much or score... you can't rely on your full-backs when one of them is Patrice Evra, who apart from heading in set pieces isn't reknowned for his end-product.

There's a massive difference between overlapping a winger and having to provide the width on your own. Evra used to carry a lot of the threat down the left but he was younger, and had Giggs tucked in alongside.
Agree with these. I don't think we've got the personell to pull that system off sucessfully. Not at the highest level anyway.

Van Persie has missed some very clear cut chances this season, no doubt. His goal tally could've quite easily been enormous.

RVP is our best finisher since RVN. You have to be very selective with your memory if you think Rooney is better.
He isn't, that would be Hernandez.

And the only having selective memory is you I reckon. I love RVP but he has missed plenty of easy chances this season

I wonder if all this has been orchestrated by SAF, personally I don't think he's ever forgiven Rooney after the last time he kicked up a fuss and after his latest indiscretion hes given moyes a great opportunity of stamping his foot down by getting rid of Rooney.

I honestly believe if saf didn't want him gone he wouldn't have said what he did after the Swansea game and probably would have put a arm around Rooney earlier if he felt he was starting to get disillusioned with united. Either way I don't care what he does now stay or go

I cannt believe people still expect Rooney to grow up, he's 27 FFs, he is allegedly an adult. He's not going to change now, he is a spoilt immature person and always will be.

New chant for Rooney next season

Wayne Rooney, Rooney, he kisses the badge on his chest, then puts a transfer request, again and again and again.

On the way home on Sunday my brother said the same thing to me, we have been singing that to Gerrard for a few years as well.

His position is untenable now with the fans its all about the best deal we can get for him and who we sell him to.

Two transfer requests, he's blowing smoke up our arses. feck him.

I'm not having a go here, I'm just genuinely curious: What has made you reach that conclusion? Do you know anything about Rooney apart from rumours and reports in the press? What exactly is your judgment based on?

What has Rooney done, said or displayed which would make you conclude he is spoilt and immature? I, mean, more so than any other footballer - which I assume is your meaning here?

Could it be that you just don't like the face of the feckin' scouser, and that this - possibly - is somewhat clouding your judgment? Again, I'm not having a go. I don't love Wayne Rooney myself. I just find it interesting that he is so...despised by so many of our fans.

We know that he isn't happy. We know that he has handed in a transfer request. The rest is just speculation and drivel. He's a boozer, he doesn't give a shite, he's fat and probably a degenerate. There's nothing substantial apart from the fact that he wants away, for feck knows what reason. Where - pray illuminate me - is the part where he stands out as an undeniable cnut?

Rooney is definitely the better finisher for me and so is Hernandez. RvP has really missed a lot of easy chances this season. Infact he's missed the most clear cut chances in the entire Premier League

Disagree Rooney misses his fair share of chances as well. Also, if he keeps trying that fecking chip 2 or 3 times a game that never comes off.

RvP is the most spectacular and consistent finisher there is in the premier league when fit.

RVP misses far too many easy chances when compared to Rooney. Fortunately, he scores some of the tougher ones and one's he has missed haven't turned out to be all that important barring the Madrid one.

As for missing the chips, RVP has wild swings at the ball which tend to end up in the top tier at least twice a game compared to Rooney trying the those lobs maybe once in every 4 or 5 games

There is no chance he tries it 2 or 3 times a game.. Once every 4 or 5 matches is even a stretch, he's tried it maybe a handful of times the past couple of years.

Don't be silly Sparky, he's just a little bit naive is our Wayne. He's not a bad person at all, he's just easily led...when he slept with a prostitute while his wife was pregnant with their first child, he was just being naive thats all... Being pictured drunk, smoking and pissing in the street?...Naiveity, thats all... Back in 2010 when he questioned if the club could match his ambitions? Nothing to do with good old Wayne, it was all his horrible nasty agent. Poor little Wayne had nothing to do with it...His constant can't be assed performances? Doesnt matter, because on his day he is world class, up there with the best. Even if 'his day' is become more and more of a rarity....Put in another transfer request? Poor lads confused. Can't blame him. I mean, he's been in and out of the team this season, and only paid £200,000 odd thousand a week for that privalige. You dont actually expect him to knuckle down, work harder, and prove why he should be in the team do you? That would be ridiculous. Handing in a transfer request is the only rational thing he could have done...You're clearly an idiot for suggesting Wayne is acting like a twat (as usual). Stop picking on the poor little lamb.

Fergie said that David Moyes wants to deal with it. Key word wants.

I'd say Moyes has his mind made up one way or another on what he wants to do. A few seasons ago if he had come in and sold Rooney, he would have been hated. Now it would probably make him a hero.

Moyes will do what is right by the club. He wont do a rafa, Dalglish or a Rogers.

I really don't know where this misconception comes from that Rooney has had a very poor season. It's not been his best but it's easily been a more than decent one in which he has played a crucial role. Goals against Norwich, Southampton, Fulham, Reading, West Ham and a lot of crucial assists in that period where RvP decided to go AWOL and we needed someone to step up. And looking at him putting in those tackles near his own box and being pretty much everywhere makes you wonder why it's claimed that he looks half arsed. His performances in the last month (a period where everyone apart from Vidic and Carrick and maybe RvP have looked rubbish) or so since being pushed back into midfield have really affected people's opinions about what type of season he's had. I'm not saying he was brilliant but he was most definitely not poor.

:lol: I think somebody is having a laugh, why on earth would he want to go to Newcastle.
It seems like none of the top clubs want him anyways. I think we should make a brochure for him (Owen style) and sell him to those Russians for as much money as possible while he's worth a few quid.

I really do hope he stays. One "bad" season does not make mean "we can do without him". He's scored 16 goals this season, the same amount he scored two seasons ago.
He also has 13 assists.

For footballing reasons, him staying would be a massively good thing for us. I understand this is his second time of wanting out, but I do think this is just a bit of red mist due to the lack of game time. I don't agree with what he's doing, but I do think this is something that can be easily brushed aside. Well, depends how lenient you are really.

Both RVP and Rooney's finishing is excellent, not much in it imo.

34 goals in 44 games last season for Rooney, 29 in 45 for RVP this season.

Thing is i dont reckon Moyes would see it that way - he takes over at United and his first act is to salvage a wantaway Rooney, convincing him to stay. Moyes probably (possibly) thinks that THAT is what the fans want and what will make him an instant hero.
