We have had absolutely horrendous decisions against us this year

The fact that we are still second despite the refereeing inconsistencies is mental.
  • We’ve had a definite penalty for us today given as a free kick despite scoring from the advantage.
  • We had a good goal against Sheffield United cancelled.
  • Sheffield United scored a goal against us that should be disallowed.
  • Harry Maguire had a great goal against a team disallowed the other week for (?)
  • Martial got hit in the face. Hit someone else in the face. He got sent off, the Tottenham player didn’t.
  • Against Crystal Palace we had a penalty given against us for handball. The next week this handball rule was written out of the rule book as it was so stupid.
  • Against Crystal Palace - De Gea saved a penalty. He had to retake it despite being 1cm off the line. This hasn’t come up again.
  • In the game against Fulham there was a blatant foul against Fred in the box not even looked at.
This has GOT to change. In the last month City have scored the most offside goal of all time that forced a clarification to the referees on how to apply the rules and Fulham had a definite penalty not given.

I’m glad Ole has started to point this out. If we had any 50/50s this year- we’d be top.

I don't know if this was deliberate but if it's genuine...

Almost every fan thinks that every season. Liverpool fans think we've been handed penalties. City think there's a conspiracy against them from UEFA to the refs. Same with Arsenal and Chelsea. People forget the questionable calls their teams get and only remember the ones they don't.

You forgot Mike Dean only adding 3 minutes added time.

Deserve terrible decisions if you just accept them. The triumvirate of Maguire, Lindelöf and De Gea feebly accepting everything that befalls them is quite revealing.
I think we are too nice. We are a team full of good lds and that doesn’t work.

Obviously obvious goal for West Brom
It’s annoying about how this isn’t talked about. On Optus sport they were saying how great the goal was and didn’t even talk about it being a foul. Lindelof has a arm around his shoulder and hand in his face

We need a manager who will go after these decisions in the press. Ferguson would never shy away from it when needed, Pep and Klopp are always at it, but Ole is content to sit there and play the nice guy. It is costing us and will do so as long as he keeps quiet.

So we should have had a penalty because the west brom player had a hand on Maguire's shoulder even though it wasnt strong enough to be a foul?

Lindelof is moving away from the ball, the attacker is diving towards the ball. Yes he has physical contact with Lindelof, that doesnt make it a foul

Always someone else’s fault when you start blaming referees. We get some dodgy decisions, and get some dodgy against us.

Since we've decided that football is all about the tiniest of margins mattering like say a bollock hair being enough to disallow a goal for offside, a hand clawing the face is surely a fecking foul.

I don’t think he was moving away from the ball. Is it a foul when a opposing player holds down a player from getting a jump

I could accept this if VAR wasn't implemented for the sole purpose of stopping contentious and dodgy decisions. It's literally useless in its current state.

Maguire has just come out strongly on MUTV.
Basically saying we’ve not had a decision go our way since certain managers and players from other clubs have started talking.
Referenced the Billy Sharp challenge on De Gea.
Referenced how his goal was disallowed against Burnley compared to West Brom’s goal being given today.

Clear foul on Lindelof, why hasn't the VAR ref checked that and if he has, how on earth can he say putting your hand across someone's face is legal. Ole should be making a big point of this and the recent decisions.

Maguire was offside for the penalty call.

Lindelof didn't even attempt to jump for the ball. He stood there and the attacker went for the ball. It was not a foul.

Bit embarrassing, this level of biased nonsense used to be restricted to the matchday thread. We're really starting to hit peak RAWK on here.

Maguire was offside. No penalty decision to make.

I can swallow shit decisions if there's no VAR. We still see the same amount of shit decisions as before now though, and there's var to check them, so that makes it so much worse for me. Get rid of VAR and go back to the days of just accepting errors for what they are. I wouldn't have any complaints before with their goal as its hard to catch, but with VAR not calling that is outrageous.
