I don't agree with much of this but I'm going to concentrate on this part bolded.Van De Beek's issues are twofold. Our midfield two are largely there to break up play, cover ground and generally do the dirty work so the rest can concentrate on attack, and the three we play behind the striker are there for their dynamism and ability to score and assist. Donny doesn't fit either of those roles as well as other players in the squad and he hasn't demonstrated that he's good enough in other ways to force Ole to change how we play to include him.
I'm almost certain we signed him because we thought Pogba would be gone by now and we saw him as a possible long-term #8. I sympathise with him to an extent, but if was as good as some in here think he is he'd be playing, or at least he'd be using the chances he's had to show why he should be.
according to his agent Ole told them plans for one formation, then after signing changed his mindVan De Beek's issues are twofold. OK, forgot that, but substituted at 46'. I think there has been only 2 or 3 times when Ole has subbed anybody before 60th minute mark, during his entire career at United. Either way, zero EPL starts.Young Boys ring a bell?
To me, it's simple: Donny and his agent have been conned by a sack of lies. I will support him if he puts a transfer request, especially when this manager is doing about everything to make me hate him (the manager) as a person when weeks go by while served with the same crap. For me it just doesn't make sense. I'm not saying Donny is a world beater or anything even close, but Fred has been sooooo frickin bad this season and Matic can't play two games in a row any more. Surely he has to be at least considered for some games, even as a sub? But in the games that really matter he rarely gets a minute. It's frustrating.
Didn't he put one and was about to go to Everton on loan and Ole refused?Put in a transfer request and rightfully so. Baffling treatment by Ole
Well said.VDB gets like 10 minutes to prove himself on the field and apparently he is shit and doesn't deserve more time because Ole definitely knows best. But Ole has been sub-par since 2019 yet we need to give him another 5 years because everyone needs 10 years to learn a job. Irony goes whoosh over the Ole inners' heads.
This is just terrible management by Ole. Learn to call a spade a spade sometimes yea.

If that was Jose with us or Kovac at Bayern, that is the kind of comment that would get a manager crucified on the outside and sparking the loss of the dressing room on the inside.Tweet

Maybe if that was all he said...If that was Jose with us or Kovac at Bayern, that is the kind of comment that would get a manager crucified on the outside and sparking the loss of the dressing room on the inside.
Ole literally said he was not sulking and had no problem with him. I suppose you didn't read the full quote in context?Donny is right how is it sulking. Like a girlfriend who begs you to stay and give her one more chance when you’re happy to leave, only for her to then stay out for a month. He’s not sulking he’s wondering what the feck is Ole’s odd thinking. I’d be forcing out for jan if it continues.
Exactly. He has every right to feel aggrieved. No idea why Ole blocked his loan move.Maybe if he was allowed to play elsewhere and not kept here it wouldnt have got to this
Asked to go out on loan, the club agreed, his agent agreed one with Everton and Ole blocked it at the last minDidn't he put one and was about to go to Everton on loan and Ole refused?
You hate Solskjaer as a person because he's not playing Donny Van De Beek?To me, it's simple: Donny and his agent have been conned by a sack of lies. You figured that out after arguably the best game he played for us?Until recently I had high hopes for VDB, but after
last game he started I was shocked by how slow and weak he looked. He was in arrears all the time. Can’t see him challenge either Fred, McT or Bruno. I also choose Lingard 9 of 10 times before VDB.
Are you sure the club agreed?Asked to go out on loan, the club agreed, his agent agreed one with Everton and Ole blocked it at the last min
I hate the man for putting his personal favorites on at the expense of other options, especially when those favorites are fecking us up hard. It has been the same problem under LVG and Jose as well. If meritocracy is actually a thing under a serious manager, it would not be difficult to think that Fred and McTominay would be the ones making cameos at best instead of starting matches these days. I don't know what Ole owes to the jokers known as McFred, but meritocracy would have seen them spending more time on the bench than they did by now.You hate Solskjaer as a person because he's not playing Donny Van De Beek?
That is not how it went down. His agent started shopping him right before the deadline and came back with a loan offer from Everton which would do us no good at all particularly after we had already agreed loans for Garner and Levitt. One or two injuries and Donny would be starting regularly, Ole was never going to agree a loan at that point and risk having no cover. It only looks bad if everyone stays fit and Donny doesn't get a look in but we are six games into the season and the melodrama over poor little urchin DVB has reached hysterical levels.Asked to go out on loan, the club agreed, his agent agreed one with Everton and Ole blocked it at the last min
This, this and this. If our midfield was functionning then VDB would have to accept being on the bench, such life is but the room for improvement in that area is huge and he doesn't consistent play time. It's incredible reallyIt makes less sense when you watch the absolute shit show that is our midfield at the moment.
I know we all talk about Scott and Fred always breaking up the play which is why they're there, but they're not even doing that at the moment, so I don't get it.
Thats fair enough but so is Fred yet he gets 40 starts a season and Ole thinks he’s a Zidane regenGood riddance. Nothing player.
