That's Rahul Dravid, surely? What about Piyush Jindal??? He´s the governor of Louisiana, a right wing Republikan, has an A rating from the NRA, has become a Christian, and goes by the good ol' boy name, "Bobby" cause he was so obsessed by the character from the Brady Bunch. This guy thinks he´s whiter than an Englishman´s ass.
Yes. My first thought looking through the link was a slightly confused "she looks white"Did anyone else expect her to be really black like Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder?
Oh god, why does this keep happening
Best bit in that article is the existence of a "Pretendian List"
Yes, transgender people aren't transitioning to get ahead in life.Is this any different to people who are transgender? There’s obviously a feeling of identity to another group which isn’t inherent or native to the individual. But in the case of transgender it’s encouraged to transition. In the case of transracials it’s consider abnormal. Where is the line drawn?
People aren’t trans-racialing only to get ahead in life though. Look at the dude who wants to be Korean. He’s broke.Yes, transgender people aren't transitioning to get ahead in life.

The sex you are born is just as much down to genetics as your race.I thought you were referring to the academics
Your race is passed down from your parents and family while your gender is not. Your race is far more tied to your family than your gender so I'd say they are quite different.
How can that even be possible? The sex you are born is just as much down to genetics as your race.
The chromosomes you're born with dictate your sex. The genes you're born with dictate your race. It's all down to your genetic make-up. Which comes from your parents. The point is that you don't choose your race, in the same way you don't choose your sex. So if it's ok to be uncomfortable with your biological sex, why can't you be uncomfortable with the race you were also assigned at birth? How can that even be possible?
A person can somewhat determine what race their child will be while you can't do that with biological sex.
Those chromosomes are more or less dictated randomly. Race far less so. If two black people have sex they will produce a black baby and if one of them has sex with another black person they will produce another black baby. Try to do the same thing with gender and those people most-likely won't have babies of a single gender. The chromosomes you're born with dictate your sex. The genes you're born with dictate your race. You're over-complicating it. I was only arguing that your race is defined at birth, as is your sex. Both are down to your biology and outside your personal control. Those chromosomes are more or less dictated randomly. Race far less so. They could be lighter or darker but they are never going to have a baby with an ethnicity that isn't part of their DNA.

Edit: there’s also a story of the fella in the Netherlands who claimed he was trans-age too.
One is biological, the other is cultural it would seem.No.
The people who masquerade as another race do it either out of misunderstanding/lack of accurate information about their ancestry or an effort to gain benefit that they do not deserve.
That's a massive difference when compared to transgenders.
No one can choose their gender or race. So I really don’t get your point here. Are you saying because people can’t choose their gender changing it should be encouraged? You can make the same exact argument for race, or ethnicity.I thought you were referring to the academics

No one has ever killed themselves because they couldn't be Native American. No one can choose their gender or race. So I really don’t get your point here. What’s the difference? Let’s assume the people that are trans-racialing identify with a different race or culture are not doing it from a place of misunderstanding.No.

That’s not the question I’m asking though. In your understanding, if people started killing themselves because they’re unable to identify with another race, that would legitimise it? That’s an incredibly odd way to look at it.No one has ever killed themselves because they couldn't be Native American.
There is clear history of those people doing it for a benefit; either sympathy, credibility, scholarships etc. What’s the difference? Let’s assume the people that are trans-racialing identify with a different race or culture are not from misunderstanding.
That's just a flippant remark to highlight the stupidity of your post. That’s not the question I’m asking though. In your understanding, if people started killing themselves because they’re unable to identify with another race, that would legitimise it? That’s an incredibly odd way to look at it.

If there was a long documented record of that happening, as well as science backing up the distinctions, then yeah I'm sure people would start to consider why it is happening and if there were something we, as a society, could do to help. Not you though I presume - just the people with some empathy. That’s not the question I’m asking though.
