Some members want to clear 8 or more players from the team. Am I reading correcly?
Can you imagine Zidane playing with Lukuku, if he wasn't bald he would be tearing his hair out.Lukaku has had a very long and successful career and can still improve. Getting rid of him would be nuts. It will just me a matter of style. If we hire simeone he might be a tight fit. Same with conte. Who knows with zidane since he was given a strong team and we haven't seen the type of team he will build given the chance
His record at such an age says he can be effective. Just don't try to build up through him. Put him through on goal and get him chances and he will put up good numbers. Shown over and over since he was 17Can you imagine Zidane playing with Lukuku, if he wasn't bald he would be tearing his hair out.
Lukuku was a stop gap as we were desperate, unfortunately he's turned out even worse than we thought he would be.
Zidane played with a shockingly bad Benzema for 2 out of 3 years . He got 12 in 47 last year, that's worse than Lukaku in the worst form of his life. His hold-up play was also useless in most games and his biggest contribution in the CL was taking advantage of goalkeeping howlers. Can you imagine Zidane playing with Lukuku, if he wasn't bald he would be tearing his hair out.

Benzema has always been a player who sacrifices himself for the good of the team, even when playing badly he makes a contribution,Lukuka doesn't.Zidane played with a shockingly bad Benzema for 2 out of 3 years . Who, exactly, are you referring to?The next manager when our players decide to sack him. I genuinely cannot wait for those two faced fecks to turn it up again now that Mourinho is gone, just like they did after LVG and Moyes.
Also, we're due a couple of articles in the press in the upcoming days about how they didn't like the training methods, analyses of their play and some other ridiculous shit, just like they spawned right after Moyes/LVG were sacked.
I don't see it as scapegoats, a lot of the players on the list are players who have underperformed for several seasons and/ or appear physically unable to play consistently at this level. This is a really bad thread at this time. We need to support the team, not start looking for scapegoats.
This is just a cliche and after the fact justification because Madrid won things. Benzema was not good for Madrid in his last 2 seasons and Madrid fans have been pulling their hair out at Benzema's poor general play for the last two seasons. Countless games Ronaldo bailed Madrid out while Benzema did feck all.Benzema has always been a player who sacrifices himself for the good of the team, even when playing badly he makes a contribution,Lukuka doesn't.
Lukuka has 6 in 22 this season. That's very similar to the numbers you quoted for Benzema. Difference being Lukuku is the main goalscorer for Utd, Benzema wasn't for Madrid.
This is really futile, let's just agree they are both crap then. This is just a cliche and after the fact justification because Madrid won things. There are many strikers that would have made Madrid better in place of Benzema, he had plenty of stinkers where he contributed next to nothing in the last 2-3 seasons.
Full backs were my concern. I'd look to sell Darmian and Valencia immediately, keep Young for definite until the summer.Lots of calls to get rid of 3 full backs. As much as they are not the future, it would be a big call to do this within the next 2 windows. There are bigger problems to sort out and Young is performing reasonably well and is a good enough squad player for cup games. Darmian is limited but again can be useful until the right replacements and bought in/up.
I would imagine it'll be 4 Windows until the third of these 3 are gone.
Jones and Rojo imo have had enough chances and much as I like both of them, it is time for at least one to go. Matic didn’t become a shite player overnight, he needs a break, give Herrera, Fred and Pogba a run together and see how that goes. Mata is still a great squad player so I’d hang on to him for now. Lukaku I don’t think will ever be good enough to be first choice for us but again is more than capable as back up.Our next full-time manager will have over half a season to assess our players from afar, in addition to what he already knows about them (we are not exactly low profile). Those for the bin should include Jones,Valencia,Young, Rojo and Matic, with Mata, Smalling and Lukaku also on the “to be upgraded” list, although it’s unlikely we can clear them out in one or even two windows.
Interim and the new gaffer surely to bring up the magic 5Scenes when Fellaini gets retained by 4 successive managers.
Might as well give him a testimonial at that pointInterim and the new gaffer surely to bring up the magic 5
They’d be the first 2 out the door if it were me. Any connection they have to the past is and has been worthless. I’d be surprised if Pellegrini at West Ham wanted either of them. They’re bad at football.Young and Valencia should definitely be kept around, they’re 2 of not very many of Fergies players we have left, they’ve both been good servants and are excellent role models for the young lads, but neither should be anywhere near first choice for us.
Considering Smalling just got a new contract, I can’t see him leaving. Not saying we won’t sell him, but unlikely. Unless the manager comes in and buys two CBs and we get a decent offer for him. Don’t get me wrong, I think he should never have gotten a new contract. We need to sell a couple of players before the new manager comes. In my mind are Jones, Valencia, Darmian, Smalling, and Young.
I think I read Pellegrini was interested in Valencia.
I’d clear more. Many of them proved they aren’t good enough under 2-3 managers. Some members want to clear 8 or more players from the team. Am I reading correcly?
Who are these more than 8?I’d clear more. Many of them proved they aren’t good enough under 2-3 managers.
Darmian, Fellaini are another 2.Who are these more than 8?
Only ones i can think of is Rojo, Jones, Young and Valencia.
