thats twice Nadal beat Federer in major finals this year. also beat him at the French Open.
It'll be the toss of a coin. Another 5 setter.Unlikely I reckon, Federer might just take it back next year anyway.
I was born in 69, seen Borg, Connors, McEnroe, Becker, Sampras, Cash etc and I think that was the best game I've ever seen. Not a massive tennis fan but my son got me into Wimbledon this time round. Incredible game.I was only born in 77 so yes.
I'll take your word for it, don't watch that much tennis. Sounds like a great match.Federer/Safin at the australia open 05 was higher quality tennis with just as much drama.
Today was a classic, just had one too many feck ups.

I was thinking the same thing!Federer to win Roland Garros next year.
Don't write off Djokovic, theres also wildcards like Tsonga who could spring a surprise perhaps..he did thrash Nadal in Australia after all. It'll be the toss of a coin. Another 5 setter.
The whole things on youtube if you're ever bored.I'll take your word for it, don't watch that much tennis. Sounds like a great match.
He's not very consistant but Safin produced big time that night. Ask anyone who watched it.i wouldnt. Safin isnt in the same class as federer or nadal
Agreed.this was played at the highest level with some errors but both players had much more winners then unforced errors. The quality of the striking and the angles of winning shot have not been seen at this stadium ever.
It shows the mans class that he agrees with mejohnny mac said it was the greatest match he has ever seen
Federer was playing at his best in the fifth? Which game were you watching? Have u seen Federer at his best? He made a lot of errors to lose the match in the end.Too many unforced errors by Federer, seen many better than this match. Remember atleast 3 Sampras-Agassi matches which had higher quality of tennis.
Nadal deserved it fully. Federer was playing at his best in the fifth set, that return at 40-30 in final games was unbelievable.
Sampras-Agassi had some belters it has to be said, it would be interesting to see the stats that back up this arguement.Too many unforced errors by Federer, seen many better than this match. Remember atleast 3 Sampras-Agassi matches which had higher quality of tennis.

Drama wise, it is up there. If you are going on pure quality of tennis, then no.johnny mac said it was the greatest match he has ever seen

Look i know u and i dont agree on much and as much as i want to support the american players neither pete or andre could have got to the shots that nadal did and then create winners from those positions. Yes there were errors and possibly roger could have won this with steadier play early on, but from the 3rd set on this was the highest quality tennis played on this surface.Too many unforced errors by Federer, seen many better than this match. Remember atleast 3 Sampras-Agassi matches which had higher quality of tennis.

He could not show the same form as he does against others like Roddick because he was up against Nadal. This is like asking why United don't play as well against Chelsea as they do against Newcastle.Federer was playing at his best in the fifth? Which game were you watching? Have u seen Federer at his best? He made a lot of errors to lose the match in the end.
I saw that game. And i think this was better.
Im not sure. Everyone knows he is number one this season now anyway, even if Federer was to win the US.What does Nadal still have to do to take the number one spot? I know it's still Federer's, unfair as that may seem.
