Mourinho bringing Ronaldo with him!

Come to think of it, wasn't there a comment in the Ronaldo thread earlier this year that someone had heard from Harry Redknapp that Mourinho and Ronaldo would be at United next season??
https://www.redcafe.net/13114522-post4079.html

Take this with a pinch of salt, I did:

My brothers mate is doing work experience at some posh golf club, he met Harry Redknapp there the other day, he gave him some horse racing tips for today, which Harry owns/part owns, aswell as saying that its a done deal that Ronaldo and Mourinho will be at Utd next season...

Older but no wiser. At all. Not even a tiny bit.
I think people saying he is a 3 year manager are looking backwards and not forwards too. He has managed in every league he is ever likely to, and has obviously decided that England is the place for himself and his family to commit.

What would be left for him after United? A big international job perhaps, but thats for later on. I believe that if he goes to United or Chelsea then he will be looking at a decade long project (if all goes well of course).
Very good point. Where could he possibly go after United? This would be the ultimate career highlight.

There's a 20m buyout clause in Mourinho's contract with Real.

And the delay in Roman signing him is because Chelsea has baulked at the idea of paying that.
Real are likely to get rid of him so it makes no difference what it is, as long as they move first.

I don’t like him, I know he will cause some shite, I don’t see any longterm future with him at the helm.

But now that this is real, I am doing a full 360 and saying Jose is my 1st choice. HE is the only fecker with a big enough ego to take this on.

Moyes will not have the support all the fans and Klopp I am not sure he is the right man for the job.

I will sell my soul and welcome Jose. (The cnut)
I don't understand why this ego stuff keeps getting mentioned, why is it important to have a manager with a huge ego to follow Fergie? I get that he needs to be confident etc, but Mourinho's ego is fecking insane and passes well into arrogance.

Why would it be worse to bring in a manager who shows some humility, for example respecting the way United run things, be it training, scouting, coaching personnel, youth development etc. We have a solid structure at this club that doesn't need fecked around with. The transition needs to be as comfortable as possible IMO, but that isn't what you associate with a huge ego.

I'd like nothing more than to see Mourinho with Ole Solskjaer as his Assistant.

What say you Redcafe?
Mourinho only works with people he can work with. There is no surity he can work with OGS.

He could resign from them and they would very likely accept his resignation. Also, he can wait till he'll be sacked after the Copa Del Rey.

It will be Moyes, I reckon it's nailed on.

Mourinho for next 2 years and then Pep as long term replacement.
Why would Pep stay here long term if he couldn't do it at his own club?

I can see Mourinho wanting to create a legacy. He's done everything he can on the continent, now it's his chance to leave a mark at the sort of club where he still has the chance to do so. Nowhere else will give him that opportunity.

As terribly sad as I am about SAF retiring, I'm also quite excited about who the next manager will be. It's a completely new thing to experience.

Well if it was to be Klopp surely they'd wait till after the Champions league final. With Mourinho his side are done, so could be announced anytime

If it's Moyes, this place will go into Meltdown. Supporters of other teams would love it, and i would fear for us attracting big name players, and his lack of European experience.

For assistant managers, Mourinho always likes to choose a club employee.

Mourinho is the favourite now with the bookies when it was Moyes over night. He was odds on for a while

The bookmakers have installed David Moyes as favourite but I hope Jurgen Klopp gets the job. He's at a similar age as when SAF took over United, has done wonders with Dortmund and speaks perfect English.

However I think Mourinho will get it.

I dont know why everyone uses the "Moyes because he works miracles with a low budget" statement... just because he works well with a low budget doesn't mean he can do the same with a much higher budget and much more expectation. I'd rather we get someone who has done it at the top level, the top level being UCL.

Not sure a lot who say Klopp know enough about him, just see him as the obvious contender against Mourinho, and the Anti-Mourinho's become Pro-Klopps

Mou's reaction after the Madrid game, timing of leaving Madrid, and general demeanor around Sir Alex suggests he's the favourite.

Shaken, and very stirred......
The thing is, Ferguson is not leaving united, he's leaving the managers position which means he will still be around and part of the set up. I reckon this could mean that someone like Moyes would be seen as an ideal replacement, since he would be less likely to mind any guidance, advice or whatever that Ferguson could share. Can't see Jose liking that situation..
