Ironic that I have the 2nd beat defense in the league, when at midpoint it was awful. Looks like my signings worked wonders.

Barnsley conceding 81 goals and still not being relegated is somewhat of a miracle

feck, lost at home to Newcastle... no chance of CL football now.

Well, go WBA then!

I play you next, robocop. The two most in form teams in the league. Wouldn't actually mind if you beat me if it means you go on to win the league!
You could technically go on to win the league yourself! Certainly Champions League football remains a strong possibility.

I've just logged on to see that I beat Liverpool 6-0 in a friendly...

Even my 16 year old Turkish kid got in on the act...

Nice to see that Liverpool are shit in all sorts of forms...

If I lose tonight.... I'll cry.
I can't believe your recent form. Before the last game you had been in the top 4 for 28 consecutive games and if you win then that is Middlesbrough's season over (though it has arguably been over for a week or two now). I remember the start of the season when it was you and me looking like competing for the title with Middlesbrough and Ipswich just behind. It has been a mad season but the competition has been great.

Dam looks like that's it for 2nd place. Ipswich got what should be an easy home game against Portsmouth up next.

Top 10 results in Division 2

Leeds United - drew against Brighton and Hove Albion (1-1)
Ipswich Town - won against Barnsley (3-2)
Coventry City - won against Peterborough United (3-0)
Blackpool - won against Middlesbrough (1-0)
Nottingham Forest - lost against Portsmouth (2-1)
Millwall - won against Birmingham City (2-1)
Derby County - won against Cardiff City (4-2)
Middlesbrough - lost against Blackpool (1-0)
Bristol City - drew against Hull City (2-2)
Cardiff City - lost against Derby County (4-2)

So Derby still have a chance of finishing in the top 6. They're on 56 points while Forest are on 58.

Final game opponents for both:
Derby County - Leeds United
Cardiff City - Nottingham Forest

Division 2 table update:

Still possible for Millwall to finish outside the playoffs but they'd need to lose by a big margin while Derby would have to win by a big margin due to the goal difference. I agree with kps that Ipswich look odds on to finish second.

In Division 1 the points tallies that two of the possible relegated clubs have is insane. In real life they say 40 points is the aim for safety while in the Division 1 here it isn't enough.
