You simply can not afford to go somewhere like that and have 2 players as out of form as Rooney and Valencia were.

Wasted too many chances. Unlucky hitting the woodwork and having an effort off the line. Not our day.

Valencia and Rooney were abysmal. Defence improved second half. Carrick was superb.

What the feck were we doing in ET? Sideways passing, pass it backwards, more sideways passing, lose the ball. feck off.

Well below par across the board. We still should have won the game, Carrick easily our best player on the day.

Rooney and Valencia had shockers

Technical Technical Technical.

Need to get composed on the ball and calm under pressure. Too many snapshot tough passes for naught. Not enough genuine pressure turned into good chances.

1-1 is not a shit result but after the second half, we probably could have got more out of it. Sucks the big ones watching teams just crowd the box and through everything around and block shot after shot after cross after cross. Probably one of the most annoying things in football.

Out of the context of the title race, it's not a bad result. We wasted too many opportunities today though.

There will always be days like this. Played worse this season and still won. Not the worst result, but Fergie needs to give Welbeck or Hernandez a chance next time.

Good game to watch, Swansea were very good in the first half. Shame about the result but not too much wrong apart from individual performances.

Magical Manchester United.
Just feck off. How the feck we didn't win this game is beyond me. Rooney and Valencia to blame... both absolutely shocking.

Fantastic, lead cut to four points right before Christmas, because we gifted them a goal and couldn't put one of our 10000 chances away. Well done!

Disappointing result with some poor performances, but it's not the worst that could've happened. They're a decent team and we were bound to drop points at some stage.

Carrick was our best player, while Rooney and Valencia were fairly abysmal. Evra did well to score but wasn't impressive at all in defence.

All in all, not the best of results, but it's not a killer either and as I say this winning run wasn't going to continue forever.

Our passing by midfielders were excellent. I don't know what the feck are you talking about?

Wayne Rooney fecked up 3 clear cut chances.

We were quite clearly the better side. Unlucky today.

For me, out of form implies a medium-term spell, which is true for Valencia. Not Rooney though, he's been playing well recently. He's just always shit at Christmas.

Just horribly wasteful. Rooney the main culprit and Valencia is just pissing me off.

Very disappointing, don't think you can say it was a tactical thing, though don't think Scholes was the right choice at the end, but the fault for this one was the players. Poor composure in good areas either for pull backs or shots and not enough decent balls in. Really frustrating that all the decent chances fell to Rooney and not RVP,

I'm ok with that, the sort of game that inevitably pops up during a season, and we didn't get beat.

Collectively we played fairly well, but a few notable individual performances were way below par.

4 points clear at christmas, will do me.

Rooney, Evra and Valencia were appalling.

I've not seen worse Individual performance than that for a long time.

Giggs should have been on sooner. Valencia off even sooner than that.

Edited for clarity.

Blaming the ref for this one seems very RAWKish. United missed their chances.

Why does there always have to be someone to blame?

We did more than enough to win that, but sometimes it just doesn't happen. Hit the bar twice, a couple of blocks on the line, their goal coming from a foul.

I thought it was a good performance - we've won plenty of games this season playing worse.

They were totally knackered and there for the taking. Some good play through the middle and through GIggs when he was on.
Also thought Persie was very good.

Rooney and, again, Valencia were shambolic.

Also those suggesting Jones was an equally good right back as Rafael:

Typical performance from us this season. Another game where we've been fecking awful in midfield (creatively) and at the back, only this time we weren't able to nick it.

Our points total is not reflective of our performance this season.

Rooney and Valencia were awful. Probably the worst I've seen them play in years. Rooney was very, very wasteful.

Valencia out of form plus Jones seemingly having lost all tactical nous meant we had nothing down the right all game.

Rooney screwed up many promising moments.

Ferguson seemed too happy with a draw imo.

Plus we got a little unlucky with a ref who didn't give us much and also let Swansea do a lot of spoiling and stopping the flow of the game.

My main take from this is we simply aren't in a position to let Nani go if Young is out best winger currently. Valencia has been woeful for sometime now, sure he will regain form but we need to be adding options to the wings not losing them.

Had a feeling we'd drop points here.

To reiterate what I said in the matchday thread....what the bloody hell was Evra doing at the end?

Well played from Giggs. Only started watching when he came on but was energetic and creative.

Lacked the composure when we got into their penalty box, otherwise we should've scored a couple of goals.

credit to Swansea they did what they had to do and work with what they've got. But what a horrible display by us, Valencia, Rooney and Young to some degree didn't bother to show up. Our best chances came from set pieces. The width offered zero today.

a bit crap in the last third, and constantly losing the ball to team thats decent in holding onto it. some of the decison making was abysmal.

We were very good until there goal, which was simply horrendous defending by us, and after that we never looked great again. Swansea gifted us a few good openings and which we wasted.

Offensively, obviously Rooney was terrible and Valencia little better. Young and in particular RvP were decent but too much of our play goes through Rooney in the hole and Valencia wide right. Giggs had a good cameo.

Carrick in the centre was superb and Cleverley was decent although faded in the 2nd half imo. So the "midfield problem" was not an issue today, although I'm sure some will still find a way to claim so.

Vidic and Evans were ok. Evra good offensively but a shambles defensively. Jones showed good drive but a poor final ball.

what?

Carrick and Cleverley were a class apart from Swansea's midfielders. Even defensively we didn't give them an inch. Were you even watching the match?

Lets hope we don't slump like we did over last years Christmas period. Worrying signs from some quarters today
