Reminds me of what Rooney use to be. Isn't he suppose to sign for us or city today?

Another one bites the dust, the season of players rejecting Man Utd.
Do you actually think we wanted him?

City looked pole to sign him and then all of a sudden on the Thursday someone chucked United's name into it, it was either a Twitter ITK causing trouble or City fans making the link so they could parade about how they 'beat us' to a transfer.

It never made sense.

This was another forward Arsenal were said to have signed :D If City get him, good on them. I think he'd be very good for them in Tevez role of last season playing off the striker

Tancredi says that Jovetic is set to join City, according to Sky Italia though so it probably doesn't mean much. Looks like happening though, as he apparently hasn't been called up for pre-season by Fiorentina so it'll be a good signing for them.

Smashing player but yet another star flees Serie A
Is it right to call it fleeing? I was just looking at the biggest Serie A transfers and the ones with the Italian clubs being the buyers, are all around before 06. They just aren't willing to pay huge amounts of money anymore, and to be honest i don't blame them. Juventus are showing how it's possible to succeed without being obscene.

How are all these going to fit into 4-3-3?
Dzeko, Aguero, Negredo and Jovetic vying for one position?

Aguero
Jovetic-----Silva------Navas
Toure----Fernandinho
Works, though they're trying to implement Barça's 4-3-3 apparently.
Dzeko leaving would be my guess.

Where have you heard that from? Wouldn't suit their transfers at all, or get the most out of their current players.

You need at least three strikers. If one of the two gets injured it will be hard for a team. So Dzeko wont be leaving. Unless they wont be adding more strikers. I dont think Negredo is that much better than Dzeko for the former to replace to the later.

Don't they still have Guidetti who is supposed to be highly rated? Or is he going to be shifted too? As they could sell Dzeko and reduce the wage bill and keep him.

The England midfielder hopes that Pellegrini’s plans to play a 4-3-3 formation and similar style to Barcelona will benefit him this season even though the £30m signing of Fernandinho has only increased the competition for midfield places.
‘That’s the nature of the beast,’ said Rodwell ahead of City’s second game against AmaZulu FC in Durban on Thursday. ‘He’s a good player and we’ve got a couple of good players in that position already so it’s going to be hard. I knew there was going to be a lot of competition so hopefully it will bring the best out of me.
‘It’s going to take time to get used to the manager’s style of play. He likes us to press high up and press in numbers, really get the ball back as soon as possible and then play simple football. I think that’s the way to play at the moment. You look at Barcelona and it works for them so hopefully we’ll adapt.’

'tis a silly place
If City go 4-3-3 next season where do Silva and Nasri fit in? Genuine question as I imagine the front 3 will be Aguero+Jovetic+Another and the middle 3 you'd expect to be central midfielders.
