His end product during preseason was great but I didn't think he looked top level in his overall play. I really hope he proves me wrong, because 4 goals at Championship level is fecking ridiculous.

Couldn't disagree more, thought his link up play was great. He's a united player alright. He plays really well with Januzaj as well.

Nev smash!!
Such a talented lad. One of those who didn't really "stand out" at youth level because he wasn't flashy or showy, but who just did his job and did it well. Such a tidy player.

Prior to this game, Birmingham had scored 4, won 1, and lost 5 of their opening 7 matches

Sheffield Wednesday have just about as bad a record but still.

He's such a composed finisher, better than Zaha and Januzaj (both of whom need to work harder at their shooting technique).

A substandard bag of meat and bones.
It's amazing how well he's developed. I remember him scoring on his Academy debut, but he never really looked like he had a chance as was so small and spindly. Many clubs would have ditched him but they've given him time to mature physically and even if he doesn't make it at United, he'll have a very good career. Seems a lively character too.

I said during the pre-season tour that in terms of a prospective loan signing he's moved from being 'a talented kid from a top club who could improve the quality of your football' to 'a sure thing in terms of providing a steady stream of goals, and being a leading presence in the team', and that whichever Championship club realised this and picked him up would reap the rewards in a big way. Feeling pretty smug about that assessment right now.

Remember Dats that SAF always said that he would develop late when he muscled up a bit

I'm not basing it on this game alone but id be surprised if he doesn't make it here.
