Yes? I personally don't see us winning without getting one of Fletcher/Januzaj/Hernandez on. We'll see though.
I don't see us winning this no matter what we do..

It looks like the whole world have conspired against us lately.

Januzaj should've came on instead of Welbeck.

The problem is fundamental. It's not down to one or two players, midfield etc. It's the way we play football. We aren't playing football.

Worse case scenario, we lose, Liverpool win and Champions League will be gone. Its vital we win this, he has to go hell for leather in the second half, it doesn't matter if we lose by 5, we have to win.
Its that simple, I think that's why Fletcher didn't come on, in case we need 3 forwards

What has happened to Carrick the poor bastard? Went from being our most influential player to giving 2 needless goals in nearly as many games. Come on lad, if theres a time when we've needed you to step up and become a Scholes type player, its now.

And about the wing comment, the players look up and see 11 Stoke players stood in front of them. What else is there to do apart from play it out wide? We still lack the cohesion of the big 3.
Carrick is always guaranteed to make one awful mistake a game. Normally it's a terrible backpass that the opposing team fails to capitalize on though.

Welbeck coming as a sub is incredibly baffling as well, shifting Rooney in midfield.. I really don't understand Moyes teams/strategies/tactics and especially subs.

Football, bloody hell.
Because that's basically been his only input. It's the emperor's new clothes with this guy.
Well I can immediately think of one instance when Arnautovic (?) was breaking through midfield and Carrick got back ahead of him and cleaned up wonderfully well. Don't let one incident dictate your entire opinion of a player. He's essential to our team for crying out loud.

Carrick is so fecking overrated it's getting to be a joke, I feel sorry for Mata having gone from playing with competent cm's to the shower of shite we have at Utd.
I have to agree. I don't know a single non-United supporter who rates him. Now that we have a player like Mata (assuming Moyes doesn't try to play him wide on a regular basis), it'll be clear to see just how below-par Carrick really is.

Januzaj should've came on instead of Welbeck.
But in that case it would have been really difficult to play 4-4-2. And one of clauses in Moyes contract is to play 4-4-2 all the time.

The weather really affected all proceedings but still, Adnan should have come on for jones. We look so much better with him playing, and he takes a shot whenever he can. We needed to shoot from outside the box as much as possible with wind from behind.

He was on the right in an attacking three, where he is more than capable of playing. He's playing right wing in a standard 4-4-2 today.
Nah, is he feck. He's been all over, on the left, through the middle, cutting in etc..to say we are playing a rigid 4-4-2 is wrong mate.

He does. Just a fruitless attempt to pressure the referee into a mistake.
He doesn't. It's one thing to throw your arms up, it's another thing to keep hassling the ref long after. There's no reason to do it even if you were right.

I really don't understand our subs.

We have 2 center forwards, 2 right wingers, a RB and CM. Why do we need 2 CF with Rooney and RvP in the starting line up, 2 right wingers and not even single CB playing away...at Britania in possibly the most physical side in the league...
We had 3 CB starting to be fair, with Rafael on the bench, whats the chances of both CB's getting injured?

Watching Cleverly and Carrick try to pick out a forward pass is painful. Neither have the balls to actually evade a defender and run with it either. That's why it's so easy for our players to get pressed.
Would help them if both Rooney/RVP weren't constantly so high up the pitch. It's not like it's the first time we've struggled when the gap is so big, they could do better but we could set up better to recognise the shortfalls we do have there

Calm down.
We'll win this.
I sure hope so, but I'm afraid I'm not seeing where the spark is going to come from, and our balance got affected by the injures .
Maybe they'll score a couple of dodgy own goals too, that would be nice.

I think Mata on the right is working well. He's drifting in as you'd expect but I think he's played OK. I think we did well in the first half in difficult conditions. We were just unlucky. The only thing I'd criticise Moyes for is bringing on Welbeck instead of Fletcher. I don't see how Welbeck is going to help improve us here, but I could've seen Fletch having a positive influence on the midfield area.

He's not supposed to...

Can't believe the old Carrick insults are coming out because a ball deflected in off his leg. Seriously, the matchday threaders outdo themselves every week
He's been underwhelming all season when played. Nothing to do with his deflected ball. He fecks up easy passes and feck me of course he is supposed to do somthing offensively in a freaking 4-4-2. We can't afford to have a midfielder doing feck all going forwad in that system.

We are just rubbish at playing any form of sustained attacking football, of course we are having bad luck but I just wish our players would show somewhere near there potential, I don't see us getting back into this we have some of the worlds best attacking players and they just can't seem to click.

Carrick is the new scapegoat?

Valencia will be delighted with this.

I do agree at times he can be overrated but he was one of our best last season

Are you mental?
Why does that make me mental? Am I not allowed to say what I think? I was happy with how we were playing until all that bad luck kicked in.
I cannot see us not conceding again with only 1 centre half on the pitch, 2 small full backs, and that fat feck Adam sticking countless corners into our box in the 2nd half. And we were hardly looking lethal at the other end were we. I want and hope for us to win, but that's my opinion judging by the way our season has been going

I don't have a problem with Welbeck coming on. Had it been Fletcher then we would be left with only 1 attacking substitution to make later in the game if needed. More physical and hard working than Januzaj, and in better form than Hernandez.

True, the days of the static, sitting, passer slowly died over the last few years - everyone figured out how to counter it, just press, cut out the options and get the ball. Worked as long as teams were scared of us on the counter, or when Carrick was on white-hot form.
