They've just spent 45 minutes absolutely dicking all over us. They barely look out of second gear and still look a million miles better then us.
They really haven't

This ain't passion, this is sheer stupidity from him.
This. pretty childish to cheer these needless challenges which undermine the ability to defend properly. Our players need to be professional, and not behave like passionate fans going in to kick scousers.

Stupid tackle
Poor defending, resulting in the penalty
Lucky not to get SO on the back of both
Likely to get either substituted or sent off in the second half

Excellent pass to Rooney for his chance, but that simply isn't good enough. He is no longer a young kid who we can expect to learn.

We've lost this game already to be honest. Unless an individual moment of brilliance rescues us a point... Moyes is unimaginative, cautious and dull, it's in his DNA.

How many chances did this Liverpool domination create?

They were handed a goal by Rafael, i.e. the player we are not allowed to discuss replacing with a new RB despite not being available half the time.
Sturridge had two good chances, and they were more dangerous than us throughout the half.

Only chance we created was Rooney's shot in the end.

The difference between the speed of their attack and ours is worrying. What's even worse is the speed of thought in our players. We're taking too long to make decisions, while they are always looking to stretch our defence at every opportunity.

We've allowed them to boss this. Our forward players haven't done anywhere near enough. Van Persie is poor, Rooney hasn't been involved enough while Mata and Januzaj have been sporadic. Moyes need to get some cohesion in our play and can't be afraid to change it if things don't improve. Welbeck's pace would be ideal for this game.

We are definitely better than this. Need to attack and take the game by the scruff of the neck. We can score and I believe we will have a better second half

Think they've do e to us what we've been doing to arsenal these last few years, got in tight and then broke with pace.

Rooney needs to play deeper when we're on the ball, if we're struggling to get it up the pitch then him playing close to rvp is pointless. When he drops we look better for it.

In general we need to be quicker and sharper with our passing, too many people wanting to wait for the ball.

Welbeck coming on out wide is a shout but januzaj started doing better and you wouldn't want to take mata off. I think if we can play with a bit more intensity and have Rooney start from deeper then it would help a lot.

I'd have Henderson of this season ahead of any of your midfielders. Not world class, but he doesn't have to be. Sturridge wouldn't if you went on names, but again, on this season he'd be your best striker.
I don't think Henderson will show the same game in our formation and in our midfield. He has done pretty well for Pool this season, but I think he generally fits in your tactics and clicks in his position.

However at the moment the way we play if we stick him besides Carrick, I don't think that will be much of improvement.

The penalty is horrendously unlucky. I don't know how people can see it so differently.

He's running at pace, you use your arms to stop yourself, Suarez has just done him. One of those things.

Paul Merson - "I can't remember any time this year, all season, anywhere on the pitch, when a player handballed the ball and didn't get booked"

He's obviously paying close attention to this game given Fellaini handballed it a whole 20 minutes earlier and didn't get booked. Though I do think Rafael's was a blatant yellow.

Stupid we can only play a 4-2-3-1 its all we ever do, only capable of playing one system its so predictable

We're outnumbered in CM and again look wide 95% of the time. It's not as if we're even very good at crosses, I don't understand this. The manger's answer to the conundrum of how you play Mata, Rooney and RVP in the same team seems to be to just put Mata in a place where he's least likely to be effective.

they're pressing us to death. the days of teams backing up and letting us dictate the match are over. we have press back everywhere on the pitch. raf has to come off though.

They did, but dicking all over us, C'mon!

They barely had a decent chance until the penalty, not disputing they've been the better team mind.
They cut your complete defense open twice before that scene. They had chances for the lead before that.

Fecking hell. The gap between this forum and matchgoing fans has never been deeper.

As I've said, everybody look shades of themselves and it's not just about taking shots, it's about everything basically. I'm pretty sure Moyes didn't tell Mata 'if you've got place and time and you're at 17th yard, don't dare to shoot but please cross it to nobody in the box'.
I don't think he tells him that in words but perhaps the training drills expect that on the pitch.

Rooney and RVP does not work. At least not with this midfield behind them. Liverpool a much better unit. Movement off the ball and speed.

Need to come in the 2nd half with fire. We're lucky to have 11 on the field and should make use of it.

RVP needs to be himself.

Same story as always. A bit of clumsiness by one of our fullbacks (do Evra and Rafael ever both put on a great performance on the same day?) and a lack of a good final ball.

Yeah, Rafa should have been sent off. Thats about as blatant yellow as you get.

Rafael does have a mistake in him, on the big games... his penalty just shows it...

Jones has been great today so far, I don't know what he can do tough? do a diamond formation with Mata in the hole? bring on Valencia for Fellaini/Carrick? It's an odd one.
If Moyes feels we're being outnumbered in midfield then he needs to revert to the 4-3-3 we played in 2009/10, pack the middle of the pitch to stop the opposition playing and see if we can get joy from wide.

All youse giving Rafael stick can feck off, if the rest of the team had the heart he does we'd wouldn't be in this shit. Yeah it was a stupid penalty to give away but that tackle on Gerrard was mint.

One thing I will say about Liverpool is they do make a lot of defensive errors - the most in the league, according to Squawka. So they probably will gift us a chance at some point. We just have to take it and hope we can stop them getting anymore.

A brave manager would sub Van Persie for Welbeck. Has to happen.

Rooney's first touch has been criminal.

Evra non-existent.

Fellaini quite good.

Carrick is a fanny. He just watches the game go by.
You're fecking joking surely. The guy is utterly useless and his oaf-like clumsiness should have resulted in a penalty. He can't run. He's a midfield who cannot run. Or move.
